In case you're interested, someone on the HS thread for the Vasaras addressed this a few posts down if you follow this link. I really ought to start a ST for the games though...

So it is. I overlooked. Thank you sir. I'll make the adjustment.

I'm voting Xexex. I wanna see what the parodius fruit stage is all about. I curse at medals from the other weeks anyway.

Oh yeah. TIGERS GOIN' TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!! WOOOO!!

Too good to be on the midwestern shmup team, but you'll still root for the local sports teams. I see how it is, jerk. ;)

I remember when the joke around here was that the Mudhens were better than the Tigers. Probably funnier if I actually watched baseball.

Another vote for Air Gallet.

And please forgive the "shmuckiness" of that Xexex snapshot. It was an old one made on the European version (I guess it was European?) and the alien ship was flickering while it got destroyed. :P

:lol: naw, ya got me all wrong. Actually, I honestly had no idea there was a central USA team at the time. I thought it was gonna be all east coast west coast war again like every 90s rap album. I just said if the team wanted a backup player to hit me back. I accidently found myself on the team and started the whole "OMG! what do we do?! wait we have Kiken!! we should win or something" thing. Then I was all interesed 'cause I thought bein' thrown on a team with a guy with superplay videos would make the team place high. I thought most the teams weren't going to have 3 score submissions every week.

lol, and then you're further east than I am. Don't I feel like the dick.

I dunno, gimmie a holla next year on draft picks. Unless somebody decides to organize an american namokoteam counter-initiative 'n such.

I don't watch it that much either. 2 years ago you'd still be right. That's how crazy and unreal this whole thing is. How can a team in the top ten worst teams of all time 3 years ago come back that quick? It's like that one baseball movie with the Doc dude actor from Back to the Future....somethin' about Angels... :P (Edit: Angles, Angels, geometry shit is the same as spiritual beings, right? ugh..typos..)

I'm amused at comments like this, because in reality, namakoteam isn't even that strong. ^_-

Air Gallet because it's Batsugun 2!

Seriously, it was made by the same people who made Batsugun. It plays, sounds, and looks like Batsugun, but in a different seting.

I'll vote for Xexex. I've never heard of the others, and I remember seeing Xexex in an issue of GameFan, where they covered this little seen shmup. It looked interesting, but obviously I never got a chance to play it since it never came to the US in any form.

Omega Fighter (sigh...)

Well I've checked my XBOX Mame and I certainly don't have Vasara. I have the Vasara 2 board though.

Shame so far, Cyvern should have been favoured :?

Then Omega Fighter.

Then Air Gallet, with its moody semi-dodging.

I hope air gallet wins... It has some of the most absurdly detailed graphics I have ever seen, every time I play I cant take my eyes of either the backgrounds or the ships. Also the hi score thread is dead and really needs to me more active.

Is that 'cause namcoteam still compares itself to all the people at yer site you showed me? Or 'cause the guys still think most of the Declined and '?' names on the original tourney listare your greatest threats? Or is there a more elite standardized English speaking tourney going on with better players elsewhere?

^_-

Iiiii think you should enjoy your placement and shit-talk a bit. If only to irk people to try harder and new people to wanna join. I think 2/3rds of success in an online event is just showin' up anyway..
