I just last night managed to finish this game for the first time. My god it was epic. It wasn't impressive, as it took me 12 credits in all, but I only had the 12 credits, and was on my last ship throughout level 8.

I just got done playing some arrow flash. never knew that you could adjust so much with the options. Its almost like 2 different modes, just changing your special attack from stock to charge, and the auto fire is quite nice. Very impressed with this game, as I had expected it to be mediocre

Playing Deathsmiles 2 at the moment. Love the gameplay, but I can't say that I like the ugly polygon direction theyve taken.

Mars Matrix

Still making plenty of mistakes on stage 2. I need to get out of restart fever, too.

Radiant Silvergun.

I'd forgotten how hard it was; it's been laughing at my feeble skills for the last couple of nights but damn it's addictive.

Can't bring myself to credit feed it though perhaps I should because I can't see myself 1cc'ing it anytime this decade

Crimzon Clover because I'm actually starting to play games again.

Also Fast Striker since the Dreamcast isn't in a bag anymore and Play-Asia's shipment actually arrived.

I'd also say something on the Naomi, but I has no I/O at the moment.

Futari's back at the local arcade, been giving that a few tries when I'm bored of IIDX, pop'n or Technika

Futari. Got so close to the 1CC that I got the Achievement for destroying the last boss but lost my life on one of his final bullets!

I love this game so much, and I am so bad at it. I don't think I've made it to stage 3 yet.

Got Capcom Classics Collection Vol 2 last night. Suprised this doesn't get mentioned, it has some nice games on it, with history, art clips, and music unlockable for every game on it. Eco Fighters is awesome, feels like it must have inspired games like Last Hope and Gradius V. Varth is also pretty fun, as is Side Arms. Well worth the $5

Also been playing Last Hope (no pink bullets for me) my goodness, this game kills me quicker than Mars Matrix, but with only 1% of the bullets. haha. Still a blast though, playing this makes me want Fast Striker even more. The music is ace!

Finally shelled out for Zanac X Zanac. It wasn't cheap, but what a great game Zanac Neo is. So much fun. Haven't been addicted to a game quite like this for a little while (I think the original Mushi was the last time I was spending so many hours with a purchase). Worth every penny. Compile!!

Fire Shark -- Japan region 1P version, Same! Same! Same!

You have to play the japan 1P version. It's way better. It has side fields and in general has more action, faster bullets and altered boss patterns I hear. This is the true sequel to Flying Shark, don't settle for genny or the US region arcade version.

That being said, I'm loving it. It's knee deep in the same challenge that Flying Shark brought but more of it, and there are bosses now instead of one boss in Flying Shark. It appears that the loop has 5 new stages ontop of the first 5, but it repeats the music. 10 stages!? Amazing. And it still loops I'm sure.

A tip: turn on autofire for use of the Blue weapon. Like Raiden 1, the spread shot is very hard to use without auto. I use a repeat rate of 3. A custom non-auto fire button will be needed for the red-fire weapon.

This.
It's especially bad here, because once I realize how to score in a shmup, I play for score. Which is generally a bad thing, because I sure as hell can't survive... ;_;

I quit playing MM on Monday morning, before I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I didn't try to play all week, since I've been sedated on hydrocodone. I stuck to Metal Black and Darius Gaiden, which I find to be much more relaxing than MM. Started playing MM an hour ago and to my dismay I've forgotten most of my chains. I'm going to cut out my habitual drug use in order for serious shump play.

Ha ha, thats dedication. I try this, but usually get pissed off quicker. Especially with a game like MM.

I just got Gigawing, and I'm gonna try to get good at this before mm. I feel much more successful in this game.

That and Macross Scrambled Valkyrie. This one has me hooked, by far the best snes shmup I've played

I can't decide between Macross or Axelay as the best SNES shump. I think I need to revisit Scrambled Valkyrie to check it out...

I am in the same boat, except I need to revisit Axelay to give it a fair chance. I'm curious which one you'll go with.

To *relax* "ketsupachi" on 360 and DOJ BLK.
st5ex0boss/st5ex0boss.cpp, st5ex0boss/st5ex0b_appear.cpp, st5ex0boss/st5ex0b_disp.cpp, st5ex0boss/st5ex0b_move.cpp, st5ex0boss/st5ex0b_anime.cpp, st5ex0boss/st5ex0b_check.cpp

And there shall be TTLB... <3 Muwohohoho

Chipping away at the arcade version of Gradius III. Since save states work properly as of MAME 0.136u1, I can now practice the cube level until I'm filled to bursting with happy thoughts.

Ketsui and DOJ BL on shmupmame. Both awesome, Ketsui fast becoming my favourite Cave game ever. Also been developing an appreciation for Progear (which i didn't think that much of before).
