Hahaha. I used to have the videos for these when they first came out in the early 90s! Suffice to say, there was no need for a translation as most of it was pretty self-evident and, yes, the Urushihara Satoshi/Earth Works segments were some of the best in the whole series... although the Pizza Delivery boy and School Nurse vignettes had their momentsdrauch wrote:Finished U-Jin's Tales Trilogy, consisting of the anthologies Tales of...Titillation, Misbehavior, and Sintillation.
The stories are all centered on perversion and sex, ranging from hilarious, disturbing, and even boring. The standout anthology is easily Titillation. Lots of character design and animation from Urushihara, so it automatically gets an A+ in my book. Funniest bit is "DANGER! A LARGE PERVERTED SALARY MAN IS APPROACHING," a Kaiju/magical girl superhero story of a perverted salary man who uses his power to lift up girl's skirts, only to ejaculate poisonous seed that melts everything around him. Magical girl Akko transforms and saves the day.
Tales of Misbehavior is also pretty fun, although one story, "The Match Vendor," is kinda depressing in a way. Tales of Sintillation is mainly boring, as six concise stories are shoved into 35 minutes, taking both a hit in the animation department, as well as in overall narrative and delivery. One standout tale, "Aim for the A! (Ace)", is an excellent parody of the tennis manga/anime, only with added perversion. Perfectly imitates the bold, exaggerated style of Aim for the Ace!
I'd at least recommend the first 70 minutes or so, and especially the Aim for the Ace! parody if one didn't want to bore through Sintillation. Or if you're a pervert.
