Less faggotness in this run then I got:
Image

INP to WolfMAME 0.141: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WPQW42IQ

Until now all was very comfortable to me, played 3 days and did only 3 runs: 43, 48, 54 nothing else. Without failure without stress, but from here the things will get heavy. Really I would like stop here.
Then, am I free?
I hope that you will not be so sadic and want you initials in a run with higer score.

This is epic and priceless. I really feel I need to start playing this again.

Just watched the 48 million run. You are aware that the 5.1 boss first pattern is much easier if you just keep to the bottom left edge of the screen, right?

I'm probably just way too stupid, but I can't get the inp to play. Got myself WolfMAME 141, working roms, dled the inp and put it in the same directory as the executable. When I try to play it by using th reblay.bat I just get some cyptic error-message about how it couldn't find files in (or so I think) scr/emu/... I'd post a screenshot, if I were at home and able to do so.

e:
It's working now, thanks gavin. Much appreciated.

I have never used WolfMame before, I just downloaded it to play the inps. Extract WolfMame to it's own folder. In that folder create a 'roms' folder and an 'inp' folder. Put the 'espgal.zip' into the 'roms' folder and the inp, which I renamed 'esp1.inp' into the 'inp' folder. Then from the main folder open a command prompt and type in -

Code: Select all

mame espgal -pb esp1.inp
Works for me!

Tested your tip, the 5.1 boss first pattern manageable now.
I will try use it in a definitive run, worth of watch.

There is a option called playback in wolfmame-0141 you can use it to playback inp.

There are some end-of-game bonuses, yeah. My final score was just 200k different than PurpBullet's.

I only watched the 58 million one, but it was very cool. Glad to see that the got the 5.1 boss tip figured out. Those very large enemies that shoot out similar shots on stage 4 (the first comes from the left and the second comes from the right) are much easier if you go to the side that they appear from, i.e. keep to the left side on the first one. Another cool thing I picked up is using a swift blast of the barrier to unlock the 1up on stage 3. Just hit the C button right before the "hatch" appear. The blast won't hit the middle cannon and you can turn off the Kakusei quicker. It might be a bit tricky to time the barrier shot you use on the fourth mid boss if you choose to use this method though.

I try to get back to it, but all I have time/lust for is those pesky CAVE-ports for the 360. When are you going to crush Ketsui btw? 8)

Personally I am known to be very cool. In all I do I am very calm and don't get nervous easily. When I play a fighting game I don't care if I lose or win and since I am cool I can win even a oponent more skilled than me. But I shmups happen the opposite I get nervous and do shits easily and get over pissed. See I was playing DOJBL and was very pissed because I could not pass the 1st boss without lose lives and got close of heart attack when I reached 3rd boss in a no miss run (fuck no miss until 3rd boss is very easy). LOL man I don't want this more and after last week I am pretty sure I never I will play an only shmup seriosly again.
I just wanna relax.

Cool!
I know your pain dude. I had this with Battle Bakraid where my heart would always start pumping hard whenever I beat the stage 6 boss on Advanced. Or reaching the final stage which obviously is a pain in the ass (along with the final boss). Also Knights of the Round where I used to reach the final stage on 1 coin with Lancelot. However since KotR started pissing me off after reaching that point, when I started literally raging IRL for losing against 3rd boss even lose lol. I gave up on that game, AND I NEVER intend to return to it because it's not enjoyable for me. Same with armored warriors, another capcom beat'em'up.

Yes I just tried it and it works ok. When you say none of them work, it must give you an error message in the window?
