This looks very promising and miles ahead of what you've done before. The first level in the video was very neat, nice way to make the stage not boring, to hunt for golden asteroids :P.

So the second level's gonna be the escape thing again? May I suggest a boss fight here? I would recommend a boss fight in veins of Boost Core from Gradius Gaiden but TF-style.

Thanks for your comment! It was the goal.

The second level will also benefit from a complete remake. I'm waiting for a 3D modeler for new assets!

Thanks for the idea :) I'll see if it is possible to do (since the corridor part is very short because of the associated music).

teaser: a small surprise will be present in the next version!

Sorry about not getting back to you with the sounds yet wondersonic, I've been hit with the flu and school's on my back. Hopefully I'll get the rest of them done Saturday.

Not bad! Are we going to see a 3D model replacement for Styx like we are for the capsule and such?

I would love that, but it is not planned. Although easily feasible (I mean including a 3D model).

BTW, I'll need anyone's help in order to redesign enemy waves for this second level (second part, lasting say 1min 30s - 2min max).

1/ select 3 kinds of pop corn ships + 1 middle rank enemy

2/ create the waves:
- timestamp or frame at which it should appear
- wave enemies layout
- bullet type if any

+ middle enemy (note that I've still the TF3 one ready)

I'd offer to help on that regard but at this rate I might be biting off more than I can chew and I've done it at least once before here.

I'll let you know if I get any brilliant ideas that pop up.

By the way, did you just want the one file filtered and given back? I noticed your sexy female voice person says the same stuff a few times over so I was just going to let you organise that if it was okay with you.

Fine :)

Just apply your filter on the whole file, I'll cut the pieces I'm interested in, TIA.

Yay, complex tunnels again. You putting the different weapons in there too?

Remember the CLAWs delete bullets, by the way. I'm pretty sure they hurt enemies on collision too. Even if they don't it might be a good idea to make Stage 2 feel a bit more trivial than when it was impossible in old engine v0.13. ;)

Looking good so far. The corridors are timed in such a way that the corridor changing isn't too steep either.

A couple of bugs I've spotted:
- did you use all of the updated stuff I sent you? I swear some of them sound like they're under the old filters which I recall you not approving of :P
- the cockpit ship doesn't line up exactly with the line when it gets pulled at the end of the stage, you can get pulled when its a bit above or under and it kinda breaks the appearance
- after dying in Stage 1 after unlocking the chain mode for the asteroids I restarted only to find that chain mode was still unlocked! Fun, but a bit gamebreaking

You'll add configurable speeds for Styx so it acts like how it did before right? It was quite broken along with the rest of the stage (which I realise is probably due to that lacking of the 3D artist work, just nitpicking here).

Not yet, but it is planned :)

Good point, I had a bug regarding a refactoring.

Cool, I managed to fix that also, thanks!

Seemed to have some issues ending the first stage. It didn't want to tractor beam me for the first ten lives or so.

Also, the Styx is awfully slow at 100% speed, and so is the bullet firerate. It doesn't even seem like the speed changes make much difference. :S

Indeed, some issue with 2 colliders :( Had to see this point asap!

Checked in the next version, about Styx fire rate, I'll see also in the next version.

Thanks!

Seems like pressing anything in the cutscene bit makes the game freeze after the picture of broken Rynex, or something. I got to run it once and then on reopening, reloading and playing with pressing buttons to try and skip them seem to stop it from ever getting past. :(

This is maybe related to network bandwidth. Try to wait 2/3 minutes before pressing when the rynex is being destroyed.

Also in order to play again, after loosing your life, I think it will be faster to wait for the intro (I'll work on that point also to reduce the time to wait... for example allowing only once the scrolling of "TO BE CONTINUED" which contributes to file download :D ).

Tell me.
