At first I was just jumping onto the bandwagon like everyone else.

But now... now I think I'm falling in love with this girl.

Actually, I'm using this little blue Dragon together with my handle "Drachenherz" since I'm communicating in the web... I grew quite fond of it and had it printed on the backside of a t-shirt once...

It's just a blue dragon that I googled around 2001 and I've been using it since then, more often than not.

Fanart of Yukari from Touhou, who looks to be about 0.2 second away from going berserk. The expression seemed pretty fitting!

I thought it was more like this?

Also, completely off-topic, but why is ST a thing and Alpha 3 is not? Is Alpha 3 horribly broken? I think it's actually my favourite in the franchise (if you don't count Pocket Fighters)

The Bison player in that video is the main reason I use him in ST.

ST is still relatively popular even now for a variety of reasons. It is the most complex "ground based" (as opposed to air dashers like Guilty or hybrids like KOF) fighting game by far, the game is quite balanced because nearly everyone has something overpowered, it is extremely technical at higher levels, is very, very fast and it demands perfection from its players like no other fighter does (a single mistake will kill you against a good player, and making mistakes in this game is easy if you don't execute things perfectly or have poor understanding of matchups, positioning, etc.).

Alpha 3 is kind of broken (V-Ism has all sorts of stupid shit like infinites, and balance is relatively poor) and it has several design decisions I do not like (like throws, guard crushes or offensive air blocking), but even with its problems it's definitely a good game. I'd take it over 3S any day.

I feel the same way, however I've recently considered re-branding myself. I've been using this avatar on various forums since '06, and it just doesn't feel like "me" anymore.

It's a decision that weighs disproportionately heavy on my mind when compared to my relatively small presence in this community.
Finally decided to make the change. Welcome to gabe 2.0.

Chitta's portrait from Batrider. I took C type's portrait and switched in A type's lipstick. Was considering changing the eye color to red as well, but decided against it.
