Who is going to take the first plunge on Soldner X?
Of course it... oops. Sorry. Not allowed to answer that. It's probably ok, you know, some synth stuff, a little melody here and there, that kind of thing. Seems alright.lilmanjs wrote:the soundtrack was amazing for last hope and this game has the same guy doing the music. is the soundtrack worth buying?

Played this a bit more last night. Level 2 seriously kicked my ass though. Some minor quibbles;
Some things can blend into the background a little; e.g. the green insects against the jungle background in 1-1 and the red mines against the mainly red buildings in 1-2.
The stuff falling from the top of the screen (bombs in 1-2 and rocks in stage 2) can be a bit frustrating. The game is hard enough as it is without bombarding you from a different direction simultaneously. Maybe I just suck at those bits...
Sound effects seem a little weak apart from some of the mid-boss/boss explosions.
The dead ends in level 2 are a bit of a nuisance.
Other than that, it's a really fine effort. It looks waaaaay better than I was expecting and I like the chaining system. If you own a PS3, have $10 to spare and don't break into a rash over the thought of playing a non-Japanese shmup, then you should check it out.

Somebody is a bit touchy. I said that I liked the game and that these were 'minor' quibbles, i.e. they don't seriously affect my enjoyment of the game. I expect level 2 will get easier when I memorize the correct route and don't run into the dead ends.ali_710 wrote:you act like a kid... blah blah etc...

Yeah, found the bug. You mustn't change your password or update your account in any other aspect. If you do it, your Trophy account will be killed and some of the Trophy games like Söldner-X and Motorstorm 2 won't load anymore.
I've created an offline account for the time being. Söldner-X works on this one and Sony's likely to fix the bug sooner or later.

Kotaku reported on this today, apparently a fix is coming in a patch:

So Sony has known about this bug since october and has done nothing to inform PS3 owners about it?
An as-yet unexplained error related to PS3 Trophy synchronisation is breaking a number of games on the console.
