If you let people cheat at something like videogames then the little degenerates will just keep cheating their way through life. Unitil they fuck up and a huge black man robs and murders them. By caring about cheating we are helping lower the crime rate in the world.GaijinPunch wrote:Well, that's what they are.OMG only videogamz
Two words: their problemUnitil they fuck up and a huge black man robs and murders them
Thing I hate: real life (eg: wife) preventing me from playing this more than 45 minutes a day. It's been fun though. I beat my previous score, although I think w/ some more time I would've gotten a nice all (I never carried one full chain past the worm on stage 4). Oh, well. The PCB goes in a box, in a container tomorrow. The rest, as they say, is history.Thing I hate:
-having my score hinge on the 3rd boss, which can screw you over if it feels like it (see spores bounce left and right!)

Thanks. I was so close to one final improvement. 14.5 million on the 6th boss first form, before the life refill/bomb. One bullet took out the remaining half unit of life, as they sometimes do. I can't believe I got hit there at all.mulletgeezer wrote: Congratulations to Rob, getting that kind of score in just over a week is one of the best achievements of this whole tournament.
I got to the last form's last form 3-4 times. That pattern is annoying as hell. Most games I would screw up score/chain-wise before I could see the 6th stage. Braggart.Looks like only one player was able to metriculate to the ALL, haha, winners don't use drugs.
Great job to all members from Team Old Schoolers. This is my first participation in this competition and I liked very much. Thanks for Shatterhand for inviting me and all other members to accept me in the team.howmuchkeefe wrote:The stage two boss sure likes to punish greed. *sigh* It would have been nice to carry a 4,000-4,500 chain into stage three and maintain it to the goody statue.
GJ to The Coop! Not a bad showing, and I bet you never played the game before this week.
GJ to coffeejoerx, too.
I'm glad I actually contributed to team performance this week! ...and that everyone on the team (IIRC) managed to do the same over the course of the competition.
Nope.Icarus wrote:Gensuke - strong semi-piercing Shot, slowest speed Shikigami with large clustered bombs, average movement speedGaijinPunch wrote:Gonna throw this out there, as this is just a good a place as any. Can someone confirm the differences in characters? From what I know:
Gensuke: Strongest Shikigami
Shishin: The bizarre range
Kosame: Uh... stronger shot?
Speeds all seem to be the same. I've not paid attention to Shikigami speed, which might be an issue.
Shishin - variable sweeping Shot, average speed Shikigami with small clustered bombs, slowest movement speed
Kosame - weakest narrow rapid Shot, fastest Shikigami with small forward trail bombs, fastest movement speed
The difference in movement speed for both character and Shikigami isn't too great, but it is noticeable if you are used to a particular character and then make the switch. The majority of players use Kosame for her movement and Shiki speed, and her Shot is weak, allowing prolonged milking. Shishin holds a chain better due to the variable Shot movement which can catch more enemies in one sweep, while Gensuke can obliterate enemies and bosses.
