:D Just working my way down the list! But I think I'm pretty much done with buying any new boards now. I started this 2 years ago, and I believe I got all the games I want now, except for a perhaps few cheaper classics that I would like to own, down the line.
But hopefully this'll be the last time I post in this thread! 8)

I got these in a trade, but we priced ST at $200.

My board has the same error.

There was a thread on Arcadeotaku about this sometime back. I think everyone reported their boards having the same error.

I could put my hands on a new sealed copy of the Saturn version called "Layer Section" definitely not as sexy as the board, but better than nothing.
By the way, I've been told the Saturn version (when played in tate mode) is a perfect port, somebody can confirm ?
Well, no port is perfect, but some are extremely close. While the gameplay and graphics are nearly perfect, the extends are not set at the arcade default (not sure on specifics). I also don't know how the sound and music compares.

Thanks for your reply

As chempop said, the extend rate is locked at a different setting than the arcade... and since the arcade game's rank is affected by lives in stock that's probably different too. Randorama's ST claims the difficulty is lower by default in the Saturn port - bumped up one notch it feels about right. The SS port does play a fine game of Rayforce in its own right, though; all mechanics feel dead-on and the graphics are crisp. Like Darius Gaiden it's not technically "arcade perfect" but still more than worth having.

Besides the interlacing, Taito Memories II Joukan (PS2)'s emulation of Rayforce is probably the most accurate way to play the arcade game on a console. Has TATE (rotates in both directions), configurable buttons + game settings and controls perfectly.

2000 euros. Not cheap, but worth every euro to me - it's like a supercharged version of my favourite Cave game.

I concur as well. I've had the 360 version since it came out, and it's definitely been my all-time favorite shmup, if not favorite game ever since. Still pushing myself to getting the loop, but I'll get it, and I'll do it on the actual board now

First a box full of watches, the Mushi Campaign, then this. Did you win the lottery or something?

Or are you the only guy on this board who actually has a job?

Received a boxfull today - two sold as working and 6 unknown/faulty ones.

Slapfight - working
Cabal - working
Altered Beast - sold as broken, they'd tested it on a JAMMA rig, it works fine :)
Shao-Lin's Road - sold as unknown, already repaired it.
Skykid - sold as unknown, already repaired it.
Legendary Wings - sold as unknown, totally dead.
Jackal - sold as unknown, garbage on boot.
Soul Edge - sold as faulty, unfixable. Not even great for parts, just an amp and a few RAM.

Epic win already having 3/6 dead ones running.

Also a couple more a few days ago:

Ghosts n Goblins - working
Section Z - tile issues, will repair this one.

Ghosts n Goblins
Was this the non jamma ebay one with the very nice BIN price, about 2 days ago? If so, you beat me to it by about 5 mins.
