god dammit, stop making me jealousJust working my way down the list! But I think I'm pretty much done with buying any new boards now. I started this 2 years ago, and I believe I got all the games I want now, except for a perhaps few cheaper classics that I would like to own, down the line.
But hopefully this'll be the last time I post in this thread!

I got these in a trade, but we priced ST at $200.drauch wrote:Nice! How much did you get that Super Turbo for? Been wanting to get one myself at some point.
My board has the same error.Palama wrote:Hi could you tell me if your Salamander 2 PCB JAMMA has the same defect on the mask rom 15H/S AAA0 BAD ?

It took me a few years to get this one. It's also one of the most important titles from my childhood, so I'm really happy I finally got it
chempop wrote:Well, no port is perfect, but some are extremely close. While the gameplay and graphics are nearly perfect, the extends are not set at the arcade default (not sure on specifics). I also don't know how the sound and music compares.I could put my hands on a new sealed copy of the Saturn version called "Layer Section" definitely not as sexy as the board, but better than nothing.
By the way, I've been told the Saturn version (when played in tate mode) is a perfect port, somebody can confirm ?
As chempop said, the extend rate is locked at a different setting than the arcade... and since the arcade game's rank is affected by lives in stock that's probably different too. Randorama's ST claims the difficulty is lower by default in the Saturn port - bumped up one notch it feels about right. The SS port does play a fine game of Rayforce in its own right, though; all mechanics feel dead-on and the graphics are crisp. Like Darius Gaiden it's not technically "arcade perfect" but still more than worth having.lovecraft wrote:I could put my hands on a new sealed copy of the Saturn version called "Layer Section"definitely not as sexy as the board, but better than nothing.

2000 euros. Not cheap, but worth every euro to me - it's like a supercharged version of my favourite Cave game.rancor wrote:SSSOOOOOOOOOOO Jealous!!!!!!
