Don't know if I mentioned it in this thread, but a few years back I bid on a possibly not working properly Riding Fight on YAJ. Thought I bid 4,000. Actually bid 40,000. Goofballs bid me up to over $300 (who spends that much on a game that might not even work right?!), which after proxy bidding fees/shipping was upwards of $400robivy64 wrote:I was just talking about Riding Fight... I did pick up Light Bringer recently, but it is not working. I hope I can revive it...

If memory serves, you even got some of the fees waved to help ease the pain in ye old sphincter.undamned wrote:Thought I bid 4,000. Actually bid 40,000. I love them too ... they have a kind of futuristic-retro look to them ... the smooth molded plastic case is very modern, but they're huge and clunky too.moh wrote:I absolutely love collecting CPS2 boards just because of the sheer size of these things.

Unless you have the black CPS2 boards, which are the BADASSiest of them all.moh wrote:and on those hot summer days, you can use the fan to cool yourself offshmuppyLove wrote:I love them too ... they have a kind of futuristic-retro look to them ... the smooth molded plastic case is very modern, but they're huge and clunky too.moh wrote:I absolutely love collecting CPS2 boards just because of the sheer size of these things.

You make that sound dirty! Go wash your fingers now!moh wrote:I actually prefer the A+B board setup.
It's so much more intimate.
Two giant pieces of plastic penetrating each other to bring me sweet arcade goodness.
Still chugging along! Turns out the refinement process takes just as long as getting the thing up and running!mesh control wrote:UD, any update on those cool consolized CPS2s with USB joystick inputs?undamned wrote:Actually it's less cool! Don't hate the player, hate the game.rancor wrote:After paying nearly $400 in STV tax, I finally won these gems:
Well, no port is perfect, but some are extremely close. While the gameplay and graphics are nearly perfect, the extends are not set at the arcade default (not sure on specifics). I also don't know how the sound and music compares.I could put my hands on a new sealed copy of the Saturn version called "Layer Section" definitely not as sexy as the board, but better than nothing.
By the way, I've been told the Saturn version (when played in tate mode) is a perfect port, somebody can confirm ?
first progear, and now these?!opt2not wrote:Not shmups, but still great games:
