I'm really thinking about get the xrgb mini instead? I'm using a awful scart to hdmi atm and need a upscaler quick. I wont wait much longer.
He started off at just under number 200 on the mailing list with the present 500 OSSC devices and he's at 967. Only about 20-25% of the 50 people he contacts actually end up purchasing the device.
@BuckoA51, could you let the OSSC potential buyers know what number on the mailing list you've reached when you're down to about 100 units left?

The DVDO units are, from what I've heard, great at normalizing the OSSC output and upscaling to standard 1080p60, but are terrible at handling 240p content. So that may not be a great option.
I was actually looking to try one of these to pair with it, but these seem to be discontinued. Might be trickier to hunt down now.

Quite hard to track down yes. You also really want a VP50 since the Edge adds a ton of input lag in many situations (might as well just go Framemeister then.. wait, why am I saying this when I'm selling OSSC )

We just passed the half way mark today so there's approx 250 units left now. Uptake has picked up since we got further down the waiting list.

Oh I've got a Framemeister, was just wondering if the DVDO would pair better with the OSSC as I've seen some discussions on it. But I've already ordered the OSSC, just haven't received it yet. The bigger project will be trying to get everything I have all connected to the Extron switch I bought.

I got my vp50 pro off ebay. It was being sold as untested. I ended up having to reflow both FPGA's to bring it back to life.
If only half of people are buying one then maybe you'll make it to 1641 before the end of the year??? If that's the case I'll wait, if not then I might go a didn't route?
Oddly I notice there's a bunch of folks (probably 1 out of every 20) that's signed up but never confirmed their e-mail address. I'm not legally supposed to send you e-mail if you don't confirm so make sure you confirm your addresses people.

Hah, that would suck if you think you're on the list but you effectively aren't since you can't contact then.

If so, how please?
Going by the wiki page it should be something to do with the advanced timing tweaker?
Anyone? Bucko or Marqs...? I think a better way to put my question is, to achieve a pixel perfect 4x, can the OSSC settings be changed so that the line doubled output takes up 960 lines, instead of being spread over the full 1080 lines?
The OSSC looks awesome on my TV, but line triple is incompatible (works on my 2006 Palsonic POS second TV though..... ) and I would rather not add an additional scaler to my already cluttered lounge room setup.
If anyone in Australia misses out on this batch and is really hanging for an OSSC, I could potentally be persuaded to assemble one.
Have done a few console mods, RGB for SNES, N64 and constructed an OSSC from the DIY barebones kit, so not a pro by any measure but can put one of these things together and have it work fine.

Lovely. Now you need to get to 1641 and I'll be set
Not that it really matters, but how fast is the shipping to the east coast us, typically? Realized I had no idea what the shipping even was outside royal mail lol.

BuckA51 ships the parcel via priority so it should take about 5 business days (a week).

I'm on the east coast US. Ordered on 10/30, shipped on 10/31, still being processed in New York as of today.

The OSSC can't do that currently.
4x and 5x line multiplication is not implemented yet but it's on TODO list. I had to spend more time than anticipated with new SD card controller code and put some effort into debugging diy-audio board (installed it only last week) compatibility issues, which have delayed other features. That said, improved SD card controller is now finished and today I also managed to find a compatibility fix for diy-audio that now works with my TV at least.
Diy-audio code was recently merged to main codebase so starting from next release diy-audio -version of the firmware will be released alongside the standard one. Last but not least, menus have been translated to Japanese by 511141, so there'll be separate fw images for that as well. I'm planning to release v0.74 as soon as previous changes have been tested/verified, postponing profile support to v0.75. After that, the plan is to finish remaining scheduled features (mainly lineX4/X5) before end of the year.
