Wow, haven't been posting here for more than a year

I guess I drifted off when I got caught by the pinball craze. This game had me coming back! New region free Cave game, and it looks awesome, yay! I have mine on its way from Yes-Asia, and I can't wait to play it. I originally bought it only because I heard it might be the last Cave shooter, like, ever.
Everything people are posting about it makes it sound like it's right up my alley, even if it's probably way too difficult for me (however Novice Expart sounds like they finally made a novice mode that wasn't so crazy easy that it's pretty much redundant).
I'm also really digging this OST track:

And I love how "Trouserplanking" has become a recurring term in here since I was last around

It is to save some little processing time it takes to offset the "vertical" (horizontal for us) position.
That s the only explanation i can imagine, because it looks naturally worse.
Yeah, that makes the most sense really, seeing how much glowy, transparent stuff they are throwing around here.
That doesn't make sense at all

There's no crazy CPU intensive "shifting" going on, the final position has to be calculated no matter how far to the right it is. It's an intentional choice, maybe to make the enemy's position clearer? Dunno.
