mamoru kun. i love all the character designs...pretty decent variety of enemies and some fun gimmics. also playing strike witches way more fun than i expected....proly coulda been a xbox arcade game like omega five though.

Got bored playing Batrider on my laptop so I played a bit of Futari today. I haven't been playing too many shmups lately, focusing more on racing sims and it's really showing. I couldn't get anywhere near my previous high scores (which were obtained with the aura of psilocybin).

Not sure if I should just sit down for a day sift through games I don't want/never play and get rid of them.


Grrrr, need to get back to Soukyugurentai too.

I am playing the PS2 port of Mushihime-sama. I love it - the bullet patterns are awesome, it's such a rush. Mainly sticking to Arrange mode (as that seems to be by far the most manageable) with a little bit of Maniac.

It's a gem alright, despite all the greatness on 360 I find myself keep coming back to it. I also started off with arrange mode which took a bit of practice to clear mainly due to the TLB which is quite a joke - I think I got lucky the time I beat him. You might enjoy Ultra on the easier settings (if you don't mind adjusting them), I know it's frowned upon here but there are some really nice patterns that don't take too much time to master.

I'm playing lots of Dodonpachi on Saturn, finally got the default arcade mode 1CC last night with C-S type. 10 years of playing on Mame and I couldn't clear stage 4, 1 week of playing on Saturn and I did it (shows me how important the right size screen and decent stick can be).

Mostly Mushihimesama Futari and some Guwange. Yeah, maybe once in awhile I get past the third boss in both.. I'm really starting to come to terms with just how good of a game Futari is, I just can't figure out why I am terrible at it!

Hi there, first let me introduce myself, as this is my first post in these forums. I'm Drachenherz and since downloading Esp and Ddp res. on my iPad, I'm hooked again to shmups since the golden pc engine, mega drive and snes times.

Atm, I'm trying to 1cc esp on the pad, the iphone mode with the expert controls on the normal settings. After two to three weeks practice, I made it to the fifth boss on the first credit.

I'm so fascinated by this game, I ordered a copy for the xbox. It arrived last monday. And oh boy, I'm getting my ass served on a golden plate... Playing it on normal on the box is like playing it on hard on the pad... But I kinda feel ashamed to play it on novice... But I'm afraid I'll have to, because it's kinda depressing not making it halfway through level 2 on 1 credit...

And I don't even dare to start playing the still-sealed copy of mushimesama futari, sitting right next to me on the shelf... Oh well,, I guess I just suck at bullet-hell shooters... But I just love the brightly coloured bullets and their beautiful but impossible to dodge patterns...

Holy moly...just tried espgaluda 2 xbox 360 novice mode for the first time and 1cc (lost 2 lives...) on the first try... Oh my gosh, autobombing makes this game easy beyound recognition, and the bulletpatterns are so much simpler - and they are so much slower.... But I am soooooo pumped right now, having 1cc the game... Allthough I feel a bit ashamed about the novice difficulty. This nullifies my success.

Btw.: 220 millionen for a first 1cc on novice x360 mode a good score?

Novice modes are good for 2 things: friends who are totally intimidated by shmups, and to play when you are shitface drunk. Pretty hard not to lose whn playing Novice, but congrats anyway

This game rocks, such a perfect learning curve so far. My first time playing I barely made it to stage 3, now after another go I'm not having any trouble with parts that seemed impossible before. Haven't quite managed to get to the stage 3 boss but I know I will next run. Really amazed with how sweet this game is, I need more Genesis/MegaDrive shmups!

Hehe, that's what it felt like. But it was fun neverhteless, and it actually helped me to get comfortable with the scoring mechanics. Of course I want to 1cc it on normal, but I guess that will take me some months.

Been trying various stuff in Mame, including some of the Toaplan games with sound samples (word up, sucka!)

On that, Fire Shark has caught my interest. Pretty difficult but I like it, fun in a similar way to Flying Shark. Just pokin' around for the most part, no big committments right now... Futari has defeated me temporarily, argh.
