Huh? I thought White Label had some serious glitches that were supposed to be ironed out by the patch?
So many untrue rumors about this game. The only thing considered a glitch with any mode is training mode not having certain features. The patch is going to streamline the games presentation more, loading, unfuckingup the leaderboards/replays, maybe fix the training mode.

The truth is nothing was ever wrong with this game in the first place, I have never seen the big deal. The load times to get into the different menus do suck, but once you get over that it's fine.

The patch has been delayed again according to Mihara.

He's going to announce new progress on the weekend but there are some "slight problems".

It's never coming out, is it?

i'm actually ok with it. been playing lots of DOJ recently and i'm over the loading trauma that kept me away from playing it for many months...

I don't give a damn if it ever comes out, I've never played white mode and never used the training mode. besides the initial loads, there are no bugs (I notice).

The leaderboard shit sucks, but the black label replays work for me, just x-mode doesn't.

I honestly think the fucking patch will only come out when no one cares anymore.

Does anybody have a reliable source for this supposed delay? Because right now all i see is the announcement of further information this weekend by Mihara as reported by EOJ a few days ago and I'm sorry but between EOJ and Exlier I choose to trust EOJ.

Sounds to me as if the patch has become a one man project, not to say Mihara is incapable of doing so but it seems to be a tall order in such a brief (relative) timeline. It'll be done when it's done mentality works for me as it should anyone else since the corrections will do as advertised, correct or improve the game as a whole. I'll take news with delays over no news at all, which would signal no patch is forth coming. It's being worked on, and for those looking forward to it, I don't see why there should be any change in attitude. Have a little patience, and faith.

This is looking more and more like the neverending story. I can't belive what MIhara says. It is like its Ketsui port for PS2 that never saw the light of the day.
If I am not mistaken it is the fourth time it has been delayed but to be honest, after reading this news and the forthcoming Daiffukatsu I higlay doubt it will ever be released.
Wel I think I will have to stick to the shitty load times.

I think this is all just PR for DKF so the brand name doesn't suffer. Cave was probably pissed and is making them announce this stuff (like at the festival for example). Not that it matters since 5pb isn't involved, but I bet after DKF drops we never hear of this again, because no one will care at that point.

If it does come out it will beat my personal record of Burn, Zombie Burn's DLC (DLC that took 1.5 years to come out since announcement) as the most outrageous period of time something took to get released.

I could care less to be honest. BLEX loading times are as bad as Mushihemesama for PS2, yet nobody complained about that. We already have leaderboards here for competition, and why bother downloading replays when nobody is going to come even close to the DOJ BL superplay DVD?

Well, it seems to me that DOJ BLX's loading times are twice the ones in Mushimimesama- if not more-. Maybe is just my impression but I just can't stand with those , two minutes?? for a single credit.
Anyway, i'm really looking forward to play DOJ Black Label properly, that's why i care about the patch.

Actually you can play Black Label properly. Stuff that's going to be fixed in the patch — menus, practice modes, and replays — doesn't even exist on the PCB. But the rest is spot-on DOJ BL experience.

Once the game actually starts up, the loading times are quite short. You can play as much as you want without fear as long as you don't want to switch game versions.

Black Label is fine, my man. As is X-Mode. I play both all the time.

White Label is what has the glitches, and is what they used the PS2 source code for (major glitch if you can reach the 2nd loop).

Why you'd wanna play white label anyway is beyond me.

Glad to hear that, but is still a problem of laziness. Just prefer to wait untill the game is ready for a quick "sit-and-play" experience , especially having so many good shmups to play and so little time to actually play.

The load times are really bad. They're way worse that Mushi's.

Also, the cover art is horrendous(as is some of the art they stuck in the menus), but I guess you can't do anything about that except to shut your eyes.

EOJ said over at CaveSTG that according to Mihara, everything is working perfectly, save for a sound glitch on the stage 3 boss. Mihara then said that we can expect the patch by next weekend. Obviously, there's not a whole lot of reason to believe him, but it does sound like it's finally almost done... for real this time! Unless it's not.

The patch iis 1 year in retard, and they keep pushing it further and further in the future. I think this patch is never going to be release. They are just waiting for DFK release so that everyone will forget about it.
I am so tired of the loading times, they're so long.........

Count me a skeptic. I think we'll be unboxing our copies of Daifukkatsu before this happens. Then again I hope Mihara is right about "next weekend".

If it gets approval next weekend, that doesn't mean it will be released next weekend. It could be a week or so after that that we get the chance to finally download it.
