It doesn't.

the mind boggles at how you could take issue with just another routine expression of frustration at the stagnation in many games.

Are you suffering from tunnel vision? Digital distribution has led to more varied games being available on consoles than ever before, and additionally there is currently an influx of indie games. Last but not least, there were some excellent big budget titles last gen that I am glad to have played. Then again, how would you know, considering that by your own account you don't even own a PS360.

And that's not even addressing the main brain-fart of the post in question, the assumption that a failure of the newly released game consoles would somehow lead to a glorious new age of video gaming.

Skykid and I are famous for badgering people for having other opinions, but holy toast, there is some sloppy reasoning in Friendly's post. Skykid is saying that soda is bad for you; Friendly says that we should be happy there's so many buttons on the vending machine. That does nothing to respond to the central point.

Does Friendly realize that other people can have opinions and that this is a normal and healthy thing? Real talk.
