Oh, if you meant that patch date thing, sorry about that. I only put it through google translation and it came through as:

"An update patch delivery date of maximum death that had kept you waiting
Been decided.

It is scheduled to be delivered on June 19.
I think that it will be delivered or start much evening probably.

Although I had the time for approximately one week to delivery strong approval
Because it has been successfully approved, please wait until delivery.

Also the 20th day after the patch delivery relate score board
We will reset the score ranking of the individual.

We apologize for the inconvenience, thank you."

If that helps any, cheers.

Thanks but I'm actually wanting a translation of the interviews in the SDOJ booklet, or at least just some juicy bits to hold me over until the full thing can be completed.

Is it normal to have to face Hinbachi in 360 mode? I finally beat the final boss (the giant bee) and then I had to fight the hibachi elemntal doll and got destroyed as I sat right below in the middle like a deer in the headlights.

Yup. Good news is the fights are completely unaffected by rank.

Two simple questions.

What does the "wide mode" option in the screen settings menu do?

Is there any way to remove the wallpaper, or adjust it's brightness down to zero?

It's an option that if you turn it off, makes the game easier.

Widemode On

Widemode Off

I can only play on Widemode Off, but I can resize the game window anyway so all is well. I believe it's just an option to make the game use it's native resolution or force it to your own.

Your shots are from a widescreen display right? so what is the game's native resolution? Is this option there to allow people to tate 4:3 CRT's better?

Damm you're right!!! previously I couldn't get past the 1st stage boss, but since turning wide mode off I just cleared ArcadeHD with a 1 Trillion score precisely. I didn't even know the score went that high. Look at all these nubs with their 999,999,999,999 scores lol.

Those images are from a 4:3 CRT I believe. Widemode doesn't affect widescreens I believe. Widemode ON will add pillarboxing to the top and bottom to fit the whole 16:9 "screen" onto the display. Widemode OFF will zoom the 16:9 "screen" to fit the display (cutting off the left and right sides).

Ah I see. I ought be using that then since I've been zooming the image manually using the best approximations for the ratio that were available.

I'm still annoyed that there doesn't seem to be a way to eliminate the wallpaper. This is the only CAVE game that I know of that doesn't have that option in some sort of guise. That's why I wish they'd taken a little longer over the patch, so as encompass all the major issues for wankers like me who are playing this yoko, but don't like distracting shit at the side of the screens. ONe assumes that given MS' fee regarding subsequent patches, that this will be the one and only patch for this game.

On that note, the traditional tate rotation (at least for console games, I don't own any vertical shmup PCBs) is 90 degrees anticlockwise, so why do all of the wallpapers end up upside-down if you have it like that? The menus are correctly orientated based on your current screen rotation settings, so why not the wallpapers?

Two side by sides. It is a bit of a fake cause the low res monitor is a 20". I scale the photo.
Also i use different cameras for both.

For ekcart,

is it possible to use the same digital camera and re-take some more pics of both a traditional low-res arcade monitor and that of a high-res arcade monitor setup both displaying the 360 SDOJ game? So we can get a more accurate comparsion.

Would be interesting to do some comparision shots of 360 SDOJ shown on a traditional low-res 29" arcade monitor setup & 29" tri-sync monitor setup.

Does anyone have any nin-nin coupons I could use for SDOJ LE? Anything that squashes down the price, lol

PC Engine Fan X!, realy sorry but i dont own the pcb anymore.
Anyway, the picture was nice and crisp. The 360 is fine but a bit blurry.
The 360 got the 1.5 version ( witch is much better imo). - Realy hope cave offers a upgade for the pcb owners.
Would be a shame..

I'm playing the 360 one through viletim's adapter on a low res screen, so these would be 480i I guess. Linking instead of embedding cause these are huge (just uploading straight from my phone here):

Edit- looks much better in person, the refresh being out of sync with the camera and low res creating a bad moire effect ruins the camera pictures quite a bit I guess.

Can someone do a quick translation of this text from round 2 of score attack (team)?

It says that your team, D, came in first place, and that you have earned a present. Press y to redeem.

It only works with JP accounts though.

Is it me, or are the leaderboards still a bit fucked up? Look at Xbox 360 Mode, Shot - 2nd place guy has a replay saved that's marked 28 bil with a gameover in stage 4 (?!?). Download the replay... and you get a shit run that only scores 3 bil. Wtf?

I can't believe the number of accounts Microsoft wants now just to validate a Silver account, I finally bothered to make my own for scoreboard ranking...

From the sound of things the game patch is about to be released in a few hours and a day after that the scoreboards will be fixed up. So there is no reason to think they are currently fixed.
