I did a 2-all of novice mode with golden disaster included on my first go, and I can confirm that Will is in the credits:


and this was my rather lacklustre score. DFK 1.5 novice is significantly easier than BL novice and I seriously reckon a couple of the bosses are actually easier on the 2nd loop novice mode, especially the 3rd boss. I had 1 miss on the first loop and 2 misses on the second. Golden Disaster on novice takes FOREVER, even with strong mode. I went through 2 full loops of the music almost to kill it, which is roughly 3 minutes of constant lasering and 1 hyper, with extra damage from deathbombs thrown in.



I also got a 1cc of it on normal mode on my first try, lost 2 lives on the last level like a numpty.

Amazing! That might be the most nerdily exciting moment of my career! I never thought of trying novice to get the credits.

So BL includes a novice mode? And are the second loop requires the same as the 1.5 requirements?

BL doesn't have second loop, it has the Ura route though

The best you can do on novice mode is first loop form of hibachi.

I no-missed novice mode in BL and collected all the bees and never got the second loop.

Edit: Based on the video below and the score displayed in the video you must be able to loop the game if you can get Zatsuza in novice mode

Also picked up DFK Rez BL, it's not as bad as I remember it being, I'm probably going to stick with it a bit more.

Shame I couldn't meet Skykid and have the radiant silvergun showdown, but there will be other times!
