I did receive the download code for Game Paradise (27 aug 2021), which was working, still have the game on my Switch.



So this is my most expensive digital game *ever*

As the guy who wrote a lot of the articles cited at points in post 1, expect nothing. It’s a unicorn miracle you got the code at all as several were ghosted by brian on tengoku and radirgy codes. Likely only got a basic batch from Nintendo/The devs was issued and no more.

Now Radirgy is delisted and Schorr has gone to the wind again with next to no chance in hell he’ll come back out again. I hung my hat up on dispatch articles as it started to have no point + I was getting stupid hate over them near the end, (not from here though, you guys are rad) and having Nintendolife refuse to credit me for the last ones they covered (delisted games was awesome for their radirgy article though) was really scummy too lol. (even if NL articles were the ones often lighting a fire under Brian)

So yeah. I got nothing. Expect nothing. Brian Schorr is the lone party responsible at this point (though i don’t know why the CC guys wont call him out and hired him for Gimmick Special…) and he’s dodging everything instead of just being blunt about why it fell through or at least giving people their damn refunds. Those who had orders canceled but no money returned got screwed the absolute most and I feel that has to be illegal.

While this is another conversation, I think I've finally made peace with the fact that the whole 'crediting sources' thing (and perhaps the entire 'journalistic integrity' thing) is something buried with grandpa. Copy and paste whatever you like, slap your name and ads all over it, if you get paid and the other person didn't, that just means you're a boss and the other person is a hater. The world is a pr firm that works for you, gratis.

I pretty much considered my investment into TGP and RS all but gone over a year ago. It's become a running joke on my podcast. IF stuff ever materializes, it will be a minor miracle. I was fortunate enough to have got codes for both games, but it certainly isn't what I paid for.

Nintendo won't do anything. They allow blatant asset flips, shitty porn tile-matchers and devs to repeatedly pull and re-publish the same game over and over (flooding the "new releases" section with shovelware that's already been released.)

They don't give a shit if you get ripped off. Hell, you can't even get a refund from them most times, for *any* reason.

At least chargebacks let him know there's a time limit on this scam and he can't do it forever. Eventually, the information will disseminate to the rest of the internet and a large enough number of his audience will request chargebacks for him to feel the pinch. I also encourage people to send legal letters if they've been promised refunds that never came. Sellers in the english-speaking world have certain legal obligations which he is not adhering to.

We are 5 years on. The vast majority of people are WAY WAY WAY past any charge-back timeframe. The few dozen people who have ordered in the past 6-12 months after getting fooled into ordering aren't going to amount to much, and won't really cause any sort of "pinch" unfortunately.

Holy fuck, I can't believe this is still an active thread. This is awful. I've had bad preorder experiences before but never anything this bad. Andro Dunos 1&2 for Dreamcast took over a year and a half to actually ship after the preorder, but 5 years? I hope these guys aren't still trying to act like they're a legitimate business in any fashion

There are services that can (for free) help you draft legal requests that can be sent to his personal email, which is publicly available here, you can also send the legal request to the supplied address if you prefer letters, but it looks like the property registered for this domain was sold in 2021, so maybe not!.
There is also his address connected to the TN business to serve letters, of course, funnily, he moved to that state around early 2020, curious.

Funnily, Brian, you can actually look at the history of domains, I can still see your number, actual email, and full name, as can anyone who might be sending you a legal request.

I'd really laugh if these actually did theoretically get shipped and then someone plays it for the first time and realizes the game is kind of not that good and hates it after waiting all this time for it. Lol go spend your money on a better game! Try Sega Ages Virtua Racing; it's pretty rad, just like me.

If anyone did it recently and through a credit card, I was able to get Capital One to reverse the charges, especially when I told them the company had gone radio silent on socials.

They did ask if I attempted contact and for the company's information, but other than that, they're pretty chill about the process, especially when I said that I never received the product by the promised time.

Dispatch Games guy certainly did.

The real answer is he's currently in the "quiet phase" of his scam. He alternates between openly lying on social media that the games are 1-2 seconds away from shipping, to going completely radio silent for months/years.

There's a shmup on switch that I specifically refuse to purchase because Dispatch games currently holds the license.

Brian’s been broke for eons, the song and dance is old and leads nowhere, and twitter is dying. These games were nowhere close to being finished and he was nowhere close to shipping them.

The expiration of his business license in 2022 was arguably the death date of the company. Yet you still have that Leslie person on twitter tweeting at dispatch monthly as if he’s actually gonna deliever lol so somehow people still believe in him

AFAIK though they did pull tengoku off the site in recent months, it’s now labeled sold out. …either that he finally gave up, hopes current buyers forget the game ever existed, and he pulled it, or enough gullible people bought it from an openly scammy company out of some weird hope?

We’ll only know the full story if the devs who he worked with speak about it. Which none of them will (i tried)

I am playing the digital version on switch I got when city connection apologized. But I am literally crying right now because this limited edition is one I wanted badly. I want the rayz switch physical as well, but this one was supposed to come with a vinyl.

I watching videos of people unboxing the PS4 limited run version, and a guy who imported a copy... Such regret I have for believing I could have such an amazing piece of history...

Yeah I dunno if imgur would work or not but that's pretty much the only other place I can recommend.

Also with this bumped, it has officially been a full year since Brian made any sort of post on any social media possible. It was dead when their business license expired, but it's turbo super duper dead now. Unless someone finds the guy and asks him about it, I don't think we'll ever know, and it seems City Connection doesn't want to mention him in any way either.

I'd wish the three games would get picked up by another limprint, but limprint as a whole is in pretty deep decline. I honestly am amazed these games had a tale that stretched for the majority of the Switch limprint scene and now switch 2 is a thing.

And of course people on facebook are still poking brian asking for the games when it was clear he was broke as shit to make them to begin with. Those carts probably were all he could make and with them not being able to get kitted, they'll remain like that, forever. Whether they become the 1001 Spikes Vita of the Switch remains to be seen.

I did my best, at least. Shame sites like Nintendolife eventually got stubborn with sourcing me and reporting on newer tips I sent in and gave up on it, but that all coincided around the time I ripped into their EIC on twitter for shilling the Intellivision Amico so... that's on me really. I'm sorry I didn't end up getting you your games or refunds, but I hope someone at the very least got a better resolution outta this with the occasional refund or game code. I'm most blown away by Dispatch canceling orders last year per request, and then just not doing the refund part of it. He deadass robbed people and vanished into the night, and somehow went below my rock bottom expectations as a human being.

Hope Schorr never gets back in the game industry ever again.

Consumers who lay down money ahead of time deserve accountability from the companies selling these products. Even if the "company" is some random bum with a chinese warehouse slot. Whoever owns the licenses for these games should be refunding the people who pre-paid and never received a product. I know Brian can't/won't refund everyone, but CC should have deep enough pockets to do it. Maybe it's not strictly their responsibility, but somebody should. It isn't right to pre-sell products and then pull the product away after taking payments.
