Not really my sort of music usually - but these guys get the job DONE:
Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage
Best guitar work I've heard in years.

Christ, Tripping Daisy - not heard that LP in years, gonna have to give that a spin when I get home.
Mine:
Sometree: Sold Heart To The One - awsome post-hardcore that shits over just about every US equivalent.
Therapy?: Never Apologise, Never Explain - a shame the band are such unknowns now casue they're the most consistent, hard-working rock 'n' roll band around.
Wicker Man: s/t - Produced by White Zombie's J, the band only ever issued this before sinking without trace. Shame, as it's not at all bad.

Bomberman 2 for NES. So tight how it combines Raggae, salsa, techno in the main theme. Powerup theme and track 3 in the NSF are really nice too.
My roommate has been listening to Underworld and they're pretty listenable, though I'm not knowledgable about techno in general. Don't like the repetitiveness of it but some decent melodies.

Yeah, I think so. I'm partial to Elaborations of Carbon, mostly because thats the album that got me into them. The songs are a bit shorter and less complex but they're definitely worth hearing.Rob wrote:Yeah, Obscura is amazing. It's grown on me so much since I first heard it. Can't wait to hear the Negativa material. I've also been listening to Yob's final two albums. I guess the earlier albums compare favorably enough?

On the whole I'm disappointed by this one so far. Yoshimi was such an advance over Soft Bulletin imo, and this new album seems like a regression back to The Soft Bulletin-- and yet not even THAT good.Moogs wrote:The Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics

Say, AK...Acid King wrote:Pentagram - First Daze Here Too
How is this? I've got First Daze Here: The Vintage Collection (as well as Relentless). Is this just a re-release, or is there enough new content to justify a purchase? Inquiring minds and all that... Thanks in advance.
Eh, back on topic:
Porn - Wine, Women and Song
Dying Fetus - Stop at Nothing (now that's a band name...)
Turbonegro - Get It On/Rock Against Ass 7"
V/A, covering The Dictators - Dictators Forever, Forever Dictators vol.1
Bulemics (with Texas Terri) - Product of America/Tie Me Up 7"
The Sword - Age of Winters
V/A - Headz (Mo Wax compilation)
V/A - Repo Man OST
It's all new, meaning old, stuff. Two songs repeat from the first one (Be Forewarned and When the Screams Come) but I think they're different recordings than the ones on the first First Daze. 2 discs too, though the last few songs on the second disc have pretty spotty recording quality, what with being rehearsal recordings and all. I don't mind, but a guy I lent it to bitched about 'em.MadSteelDarkness wrote:Say, AK...Acid King wrote:Pentagram - First Daze Here Too
