And here's another one, which I already posted on the game's topic:
Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION is currently featured at Indiegamestand for the next few days.
The game is $1, for a Steam key (it was previously listed as including a DRM-free download, but it was corrected as Steam-only).
Plus, if you pay a few cents more, you can get the soundtrack as well.
Quite the bargain!

Vector Strain for Steam at http://www.dailyindiegame.com/gamedeal_ ... ain_1.html is $0.99, or 80% off. Beat the average (currently $1.02) for a bonus key.
Re: The shmups* sales/deals thread
Bullet Heaven HD reviewed it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfUPekVz3tI. They found it to be pretty basic.kane wrote:Anybody played this? I know it's nothing mind blowing, but how does it compare to other small indie games? I'm more concerned with wasting my time than my money here :)
I thought the game was appealing, so took the plunge. This, despite knowing that the 3D graphics engine would challenge my ~5 year-old PC. Initial impressions are good, even without any graphical bells and whistles active. The review above compares it to Astebreed and REVOLVER360, but what I like about the game is its simplicity. Worth noting however, is that it has both bombs and shields.
Two things, however. There's no Touhou-like focus mechanism to go along with the analogue stick and mouse control options. And despite being a 3:4 vert, it only displays properly in 16:9 resolutions (there is a tate mode). EndVoid, who has posted here, acknowledged the points and will try to address them, although the team may be constrained by the game's Unity engine.

Well, I've checked this a while back, but SNK is doing a special sale on the JP PS Store where most of SNK's back catalog is 50% off, due to KOF XIV's good news, of course, Twinkle Star Sprites ~La Petite Princess~ is one of them (includes the original TSS game as an unlockable), of course, this requires having a JP PSN Account and JP PS Store credit to acquire it. (Costs 500Y...Sale ends 5/9)

Alltynex, Sora and QP Shooting too.
But even with the steam store sale it's still cheaper to go on kinguin.net.

Kinguin is a grey market site though. Which means that the key you're buying could very well be from some cheap indie bundle or something that the seller is using to make some extra profit off a lot of keys on. Or the keys could have been bought with a stolen card.
At least buying it from Steam would definitely support the publisher and dev. Stuff like G2A or Kinguin are not approved by the publishers or devs, so you're really taking a risk if you go with either of them.

StellaVanity is 30% off of an already reduced price (756 JPY) at DLsite – the game’s exclusive distributor – until May 12th noon JST. It’s now 529 JPY ($4.89 estimated), compared to 1260 JPY listed on the dev’s site (http://www.feathered-ether.com/stellavanity/).
There’s a trial version if you want to give it a go. It has tate modes.
If you haven’t used DLsite, many games have an English page (e.g., http://www.dlsite.com/eng/work/=/produc ... 91855.html) that offer direct DRM-free (so far for me, at least) downloads, with PayPal processing. You need to sign up for an account to re-download beyond 7 days. To use PayPal requires a phone number – I’m not sure why.

PLAYISM's 5th Anniversary Sale is on for the next two weeks. Lots of doujin STGs, some of which are at historical lows, but PLAYISM offers DRM-free direct downloads, as well as Steam keys for certain releases (e.g., Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR at 75% off).
Posting for i-20000 at 50% off or $2.00, which beats 30% off last December. A Steam key will be provided if the game is released on the platform. The developer Wakusei Marimo are better known for the WIP Imalice. I remain on the fence on this one, possibly because the Imalice ver.0.2.0 trial didn't really click for me. i-20000 seems to be a very small game with limited assets – likely due to it being developed in just three weeks. No trial version, but this video shows the first loop and part of a second. Seems only Zaarock has written about it here.
Also, Picorinne Soft's Infinos 2 is at 50% off or $3.50. There is a trial version. Looks like PLAYISM is not carrying Battle Crust, however.

Sky Force Anniversary is now 80% off on Steam, or about $2. Not sure if any good but cheap enough that it maybe doesn't matter.

Crimson Clover: World Ignition is just $2.49 on GOG right now.

Even on Steam, it could use another patch. It still acts funny with NVidia cards (it's fine with the Intel HD 3000, though).rtw wrote: And it is still the non patched version

I'll contact them about updating the GOG version. Apologies, I wasn't aware of the issue!
EDIT: Just heard back, it's being updated to the latest build ASAP.

Re: The shmups* sales/deals thread
Varstray was released in an allegedly unfinished state. The devs since then added a second loop and several other gameplay enhancements, which can probably be traced easily by going through the update notices on Steam.
