Rolled Do Don Pachi. Oddly enough, this 1997 game runs way better than any other 90s game (including early 90s) in MAME for me. no idea why
It was bad though. I really need a bigger laptop screen, I think. 10-11" or whatever doesn't cut it. Also lost my score

Used one credit and one reroll to avoid Gradius III

I really wanted to beat my old score, but that game is just...

Tate your laptop and play like a pro.(Seriously, can laptops be safely tated?)

Depends on where your DC-in/USB ports are placed. As long as there's nothing sticking out and it balances fine, you should be good to go. The only possible worry is damage to the HDDs, but if you carry the laptop around in a bag you're already putting it at greater risk than just turning it on its side.

Sorry about the lack of a score, when I died the game locked up.

Sooo... this was almost creepy, because I just ordered this on amazon and it came in the mail today, only for it to be the very first draw from the randomizer link among the hundreds and hundreds of possibilities. So this was my first ever time playing EDF, and I gotta say it seems like a pretty damn good game.
it's a cool game. the transition to super added one too many "console" elements, though. try the original arcade version if you ever get the chance.

Interesting. Actually, my main concern was that changing the orientation of the thing while it's running would hinder cooling due to how prevalent heat pipes seem to be in laptop cooling.

Which of the Macross games is that? Please don't tell me it's the famicon one

Eno - Ultra Keibitai - 1,374,700
Used 2 credits. Stages are selectable so it doesn't really matter where I died(and I can't remember it either).

This isn't terribly bad, but the Ultra series deserves far better treatment than that.

 HOLY SHIT! never thought of tateing a laptop. I might experiment with that a bit. Unfortunately my audio out and cooling vent are on opposite sides.
Perhaps this is a sign, though, that it's time for me to search out a cheap PC CRT monitor at a thrift store or something, for optimal dreamcast display at the lowest cost.

Anyway Sturmwind is in fact too easy, the challenge still goes. (you can and SHOULD all play mars matrix outside of the quickening though)

Rolled Galaga. Played in MAME4ALL for Dreamcast, because I can 8)
I think it's safe to say that this game is still awesome, even in 2014. love the enemy movement and the pacing.
used 1 credit because I knew I could do better, then used another because the second time sucked, but third time's the charm, as they say

Never had played that one before. Really fun indeed, only big let down was the music honestly. Still a much more solid Banpresto title than the one I happened to pick earlier.

ACSeraph - Salamander - Stage 5 - 493,300

I hesitated for a second before entering the core at the fourth boss and failed to execute the exploit. Somehow I managed to kill it, but there was no way for me to recover in stage 5. Also I'm getting sick of all this Konami shit the randomizer keeps giving me seriously.

I thought I'd hate this game, but it's a bit easier than I remember. Probably a combination of getting better and it controlling better with a gamepad. It's still way too hard though. Also amazingly low scoring, at least I think >_>

Second credit I've ever played of this game. I don't like it much, and for some reason I can't see anything on the screen well. Very ugly game. Only paid 100yen for it though so whatever.

^Yeah, I've heard that one is like the redheaded stepchild of the series. Never played any of them though. I really ought to pickup the first one of these days. If it's even half as good as Mars Matrix, it'd probably be worth it.

I wish this game had been Darius 3 as originally planned, if only because it would be a lot more fun in a Silverhawk. Still a good game though; the god of shmup visuals.
