Code is recognized with my HK account, but when I hit download, it says ''This Item isn't available from your current location''.

I'll need to find a way to VPN my 360 so I can download it. Kind of a pain considering I own the disc for the original version.

How are you playing this in tate? I'm assuming you just change the x and y to the same values to avoid stretching. Sadly this means that the game screen only uses about 2/3rds of my total screen.

I set the X and Y values to 142 which looks respectable on my tate'd CRT (I have to adjust the image 2 pixels up on the screen move in order to center it properly). I can cap a photo of the screen if you want to see how it looks.

*EDIT*
Here are some photos take with my iPod of the screen. It looks much cleaner in person, but you know.. trying to capture from interlaced CRTs with digital cameras that don't exactly match the refresh rate.

It's a standard NTSC CRT TV, so 480i (I'm using S-Video). I could run it on my old CRT monitor at 1024x768 in VGA... but the screen is smaller (17 inch monitor vs 20 inch TV).

I'd just like to state for the record that I am having a lot of fun with this game - especially Burst. Apparantly I'm number 200 out of 650 odd which can't be right! Feel free to add me as a "friend" on your xbox so we can compare scores. I'm Ballyhoochaps on xbox live.

If you liked the first game and wouldn't mind a rearranged version of it, you're good to go: if the original didn't do much for you then it's unlikely this one will either.

I think you're right. Footage of the first game didn't really appeal to me. I just watched some footage of 'Burst', which left me rather lukewarm as well.

Play-asia has a daily deal. If it had a timer it was most likely their daily special.

Yesterday I did unlock a new game mode.It`s (like) normal mode with permanent "burst shot" and no power ups to pick up...
To unlock : Play normal mode (Stage 1-5) with all four ships,one credit clear is not necessary!
More secret game modes to unlock ???

Its no secret to everyone, what you probably unlocked is "Musou mode", so yeah, that's a general understanding of what it is, I guess.

OK, so I finally got my copy and tried this.
I didn't care for Normal or Caravan modes, so I went straight to Burst mode.

I got to the stage 5 boss on my first credit and quit to take a dump. :?
Is there anything beyond that? A TLB or a 2nd loop?

Burst Mode has no second loop. After you finish off the stage 5 boss you'll fight the TLB.

I don't have especially high expectations for the game. Bought it for $40 on the assumption that it will casually make its way into the rotation.

Can someone tell me how many ships are available in Burst mode? I know the original game had three, of which I only ever felt comfortable using the blue one; thought more were released via DLC but I'm not sure. Thanks!

There was one other ship released as DLC for the original Bullet Soul, and it's available across all modes in Infinite Burst by default, so you now have four to choose from.

So I tried this out last night. Burst Mode is actually fun. It seems like the developer(s) realized the original game was sort of boring and tried to address this. Collecting the coins actually gives the player something to do and makes the game substantially more manic. Burst Mode certainly seems a bit easier (reminds me of SDOJ's XBox 360 Mode quite a bit). I played a credit of Original and remembered why I didn't like it, so I'll definitely be sticking to Burst Mode.

It's colorful. I like colorful. The music is still pretty bland. I may change my mind about this by next week, but first my impression is that its an improvement over the first game and worth the $40 I spent.
