You still get intuitively better by playing the game, and there really aren't all that many secrets and tricks to keep track of in the first 5 stages. I can see why people may like this game, but for me it is pretty frustrating.
I am missing the "next try I'll beat my highscore again"-motivation I get from most other shmups.
Esspecially the flamingoes and that stage's boss tricks kills my motivation here.
There is no step by step progression in this game for me. I feel forced to learn strange scoring / rank control -tricks in order to archieve a new highscore. Instead of getting intuitively better by just playing the game. This concept of game design may be the holy grail to some, but for me it kills the game.
