I imagine they will either be region free or make it to the US.

Resurrection is easier to pronounce than without getting angry mom-looks by saying "fuck-atsu".

DaiFukkatsu, Ressurrection, I don't care either way. Even though "Ressurrection" isn't as "great" as "DaiFukkatsu". ;)

For those worried about the boxes these discs will be housed in: just print out some Deer Hunter covers, slip 'em over the offending animu, problem solved. Now you'll receive only admiration from people rifling through your import videogames.

Was there any reason stated why MMP and PS weren't given the HD overhall. I imagine the 2 pack and "cost" would be the guess, but I always assumed they already had the HD resources so it would be just a matter of cut, copy and paste, or really close to that once the game is up and running on the 360.

I was looking forward to seeing MMP in hi res...... I live though. Good news all around.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I doubt those will be the final covers. the DFK one is the cover of the DVD. it doesn't look half as bad when not blanded with the xbox 360 standard colors.

I'm not bothered about the covers. PS+MMP could come in a brown paper bag with a stapled-on polaroid of Yagawa mooning everyone for all I care. See this post. ;]

Yeah, I am a little miffed that there won't be any HD Pork or Sweets. It does smack of laziness but then I suppose they consider both games a gamble so they're not willing to put too much resource into the port.
I'm sure there'll be some filter options in there anyway (there better be as SD Deathsmiles etc look terrible on an LCD.)

I'm sure if there was work done to make MMP and PS have hd resolution, we would not be getting the two as a bundle but rather as separate releases. I think as separate releases w/ hd graphic improvements, there is enough demand in Japan to make separate releases a viable option for the Japanese market. I'm happy w/ hd or without, ...I just want the original arcade modes as accurate as possible. I know nothing about game development but would it be going out on a limb to say that the addition of hd graphics in these two games, could bring about more bugs that need to be ironed out, thereby perhaps a greater chance at a less accurate port? From what other pcb owners of Ketsui opinions, the 360 release is a great port that is almost 100% accurate. While playing the 360 port of EspII, I pretty much can't stand Black Label, and exclusively play the (arcade)Xbox360 mode. However, I've never played the pcb and heard from others that have the pcb, that Cave dropped the ball on the arcade mode. Personally, I'd rather have blockier graphics with almost complete accuracy than beautiful updated resolutions...

Yeah I don't think they had many people clamoring for ports for either game. I'm just glad to see them released, otherwise I'd have to wait even longer to save up for PCBs. I play on an SD set so while it's disappointing they aren't getting the full blown HD treatment like the other retail releases, it doesn't affect me all that much.
Feedback will set you free.

I almost didn't recognise Shikigami 2 when it was on the store shelf because of the previous release was so butchered. I barely knew what the characters looked like 'cause the story mode was gone, and I had no clue what the games real title was. I had to look closely at the tiny tiny pictures on the back to figure out it was a shooter. So, yeah I would have to agree. But, damn I just want to play it!

I had to sell my Muchi board last year to cover some medical bills, and I had always regretted that sale. I figured I'd never again get to play it. Can't wait for this port, and can't wait to check out Pink Sweets too.

I've never bought the "LE" version of a shmup in my life, but if this actually happened I'd HAVE to pick it up.

EDIT: Dai-Fukkatsu and the Yagawa pack are now up for pre-order at Play-Asia; I'm waiting for NCSX myself, but for anyone who orders from there, you can reserve 'em now.

EDIT 2: Actually these are just "placeholder" pages for now, but keep an eye on them.

Were they actually taking orders? I'm looking at it now and it's just a "preorders opening soon" page on both counts.

You're right, actually: I just passed along the links I got in the email from P-A without looking too closely, I'll edit my previous post.

Not that I have seen, although I would say it is safe to assume they will be region locked.

Who knows if they're still holding onto that, though. I would just assume that it will be region-locked.

How do preorders work at PA? Do they charge you now or when the item ships?

I'm confident DFK will be localized, what with Cave pushing to expand their market to outside of Japan.

I was going to use a paypal debit card. I think I'll think about this some more because I tend to agree with gs68 and I donot have a jap360.
