SAINTWS6 wrote:Hi there, I am also interested in a gscartsw lite. I noticed your 1/3 update says you will have some available in the next 2-3 weeks, but your comment above says that you are shooting for February. What is the best way to be notified when you have the next batch available? Or is it possible to place the order now? Apologies if this has been answered, I don't have time to crawl through the whole thread. Thank you!!!
I will have a few extra units and I've also ordered next batch. Extras will go for sale a week-two after current shipping. Then hopefully soon I'll have another big batch.

Hi Superg, I got my order in within the first couple of minutes of the orders being open, and my shipping label was created on Jan 3rd. But USPS tracking says the shipment hasn't even been dropped off yet? Are you shipping domestic ones first and international ones later?

I'm seeing messages of people already receiving their switches and I'm getting antsy!

I have had this happen before (recently) and after doing some research I discovered this typically means the package is "lost". The USPS offers a "Find Missing Mail" form that you can fill out online. Anecdotally I was told sometimes this can mysteriously "loosen" up mail that is stuck somewhere.

I tried it last week with a shipment that was stuck and sure enough it did in fact "loosen" up my stuck package. It is worth a shot. If I had to guess it notifies the post office of the gaffe and has them make a human go looking for the package.

Find missing mail form is here:

I ordered mine Jan 02, and haven’t received any communication at all. Have all orders for the gscartsw shipped?

His order is international and it has nothing to do with your situation. International orders usually take up to one month to arrive. This is not domestic priority which is more or less guaranteed. They might be backed up with shipments and haven't scanned the boxes yet or sometimes they forget to scan it initially. It's nothing to worry at this point.

I've seen somebody posted a photo of it mounted on a wall. Initially I wanted to cut some holes in a bottom panel just for this but changed my mind because screws could easily short some components.
I'm sure a wider bottom plate could accommodate screw holes. And, if you don't want to screw up the default footprint of the switches, offer a replacement plate as an option and let the user swap it.
I 3D modeled a bracket for the gcompsw last night, just printed them out.

Image

They will fit between the bottom acrylic and pcb where there is currently a screw collar and then can be screwed into a vertical panel. I will post tonight when I get home how the fit is and if anyone is interested I will share the .stl file. Also going to design the same bracket for my gscartsw, which has a slightly larger gap between the acrylic and the pcb.

Just got my switch, everything looks good. I have a ADCAP super gun, I wanted to know if this was ever tested with the switch. If not what are some things i should look for on the cable. I got a multimeter. Thanks!

I’m in the same boat, receiving no communication while placing my order relatively early. Hoping for the best. Was not going to post but saw others doing it.

95% of orders were done on the first day, literally several lite units are left to ship and as I've said one post ago - those will be shipped today. If you want to enquire about your order, PM me your email or paypal transaction ID, I'm not able to find any information based on your nickname.

Yup, mine is indeed an international order and I'm aware it'll take a bit longer. I just thought it was a bit weird that USPS still hasn't confirmed receipt yet, sounds like it's a common problem with USPS!

It's very common for USPS not to scan a package when it's dropped off. It generally gets scanned when it starts moving. Seeing as how most posts are about international orders, I think it's very early to panic.

I still see some questions about shipping (that's more important than mine right now).

I got my gscart a few days ago and started noticing something over the last few days. There is a buzz (that I feel got worse overnight) on both sources' audio. I have it running off to a PVM and my OSSC. For the PVM line its not as strong, but going off to the OSSC its almost overwhelming. I have done some extensive isolation and have found that it is only present when plugged into the gscart. I have nice shielded cables for all the systems going in. The only thing I can think of is the cables I'm using to go to the OSSC and PVM. I could not find any nice cables for male to male other than these:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-FT-Premium-M ... SwMmBVk~xc

Could this be the source?

Any tips would be great and thanks in advance.

Got my gscartsw in this week and I'm loving it so far. Thank you, Super G!

I am having one issue that I'm hoping someone here can help with: My PS1 is having some audio issues when going through the gscartsw. I can only get audio out of the left speaker. My Genesis/32X/CD sounds normal, and my Dreamcast through a Toro sounds normal. I've toggled the Sync stripper and tried different ports on the switch without success in resolving the issue.

Before the gscartsw I had the Selecty 21, and didn't have any issues with the PS1 through that. I'm using Retro Access' Sync-on-Luma Euro SCART cable with the Coax upgrade (https://retro-access.com/collections/sc ... -cord-lead).

Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you.

Does switch green LED blinks when you're having audio issues?

It does not, it stays solid green. The quality of the audio through the left speaker is good, just no sound on the right. I should add that I have this going through a Framemeister.

Perhaps this is a cable issue?

If other consoles don't have issues on the same port, you can rule out switch and switch cable. You say it works directly?

I don't have the means to bypass the switch or Framemeister, sadly. Setup is: PS1 -> gscartsw -> Framemeister -> TV. I've sent a message to Retro Access as well to see if she has any thoughts on the issue. Thank you for all of the quick replies.

Oh, so you've got direct SCART male to MiniDIN cable. In this case your PSX cable might be at fault.

Yes, you are correct regarding the SCART to MiniDIN cable (this one specifically: https://retro-access.com/collections/sc ... itch-boxes). Thank you for your time, and thank you again for such an awesome product!

ADCAP works with the gscartsw (RGB/component through Jrok) but you might run into RGB noise when using OSSC through mini din. I own one. Do you have the new one with audio attentuation? Because that's the one I have. But it's good to know it DOES work with the gscartsw.
Also, see this:

https://jasenscustoms.zendesk.com/hc/en ... RGB-Noise-
https://jasenscustoms.zendesk.com/hc/en ... t-to-SCART

hopefully this helps. Gonna get my adcap opened up and see what I can do to reduce noise further with the ossc.

Waiting for my gcompsw in the meantime. Shoutouts to SuperG for excellent products

Hey superg, have you had any experience with the gscart adding a yellowed color to images? This week I think something has gone wrong with my 3.4 as every console I put through it has a yellow tinge now. I've tried directly to framemeister with no issue. have tried multiple scart cables from the output but Colors are still wrong through gscart. Appreciate any help please , I can't go back to manually switching cables after having a taste of the good life
Happy to send pics if it helps.

It usually means that THS7374 amplifier is damaged. Anything new connected recently? What consoles do you use and which cables?

All scart cables are from retro gaming cables UK, I have NES, Sfc Jr with amp, Tim Worthington N64, genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast through Toro. Then Wii, PS2 , GameCube and og Xbox through gcompsw through Garo into gscart.
Male to Male scart all the Sony ones sold be behare bros.
