I'm a happy owner of the lite since a few months and I'm loving it! Thanks, superg!

A question about PS2 progressive output (Sync on Green):
I remember you planned to build a special cable for the PS2 to work with the lite through Sync on Green. Any updates on this side project?

As an alternative, I thought about using the Component output of my PS2 and feed it through a GARO which then feeds into the lite via Scart. Would that be a working solution for the Sync on Green issue?

To be clear, if you start to ship only when entire batch ends or if, for example, yesterday orders will be shipped boh, this friday (just to make an example).
I'm starting to ship today, the process is complex but in general first come first served. I'm trying to fit in 3 days shipping and handling window but it depends on how many orders I have.

Yeah, I'm slowly getting back to SoG. Nothing was done for some time, I've got distracted with other stuff. Not sure about your GARO solution, there were some issues I recall, it's all in this topic somewhere.

Well, looks like you need to request an grfsw. :D But I don't think it is viable to produce such a thing.

Garo works as long as you turn on sync regen on the gscartsw_lite. Otherwise you’ll need to either modify the Garo for proper sync output or use the rgbhv output and feed that into the beharbros sync combiner. I forget which one that is, I think the Kenzei.

I’m also eagerly awaiting a wizardly superg solution. I’m sure it will be top notch.

Hey,

I ordered the lite yesterday. Just used PayPal to check out with a debit card since I don't use a personal PayPal account, and I never got a confirmation email. Auto-fill might have messed something up, so I want to double check and verify that it went through properly and has all the correct shipping information. The email that I *should* have filled in was babyryoga at yahoo.

Hi there,

I just tried to place an order and when trying to pay via Pay Pal it is saying sold out, guess I have missed out this time. Do you know when the next batch will be up, is it normally 3 months?

Thanks

I see your order in system.

Yeah, sorry, gscartsw_lite was sold out 1 hour ago. I have extra units, these will go few weeks after I ship everything. I still have a lot of gcompsw because the demand is lower.

Tracking is emailed by paypal automatically once I print the shipping label there. I'm currently printing the labels, first come first served.

Just thought I would ask this since I plan on getting a new dreamcast VGA box, but does the Gscart lite work with the Toro?

I’ve only tried the toro with the gacartsw 3.4 . Works great there and there’s no reason to believe it wouldn’t work great with the lite.

The lite really is an amazing product.

I use the Toro with the gscart lite, no problems here.

Thanks SuperG! I just ordered the lite, been watching and waiting on one of these for about a year now just never timed it right or didn't have the funds. One quick question, is there enough power off of these to power a sync stripper i have on my SCART to BNC breakout cables? If not I may have a work around but I ran into that issue with my Automatic Bandridge SCART connector I was using last year.

There is enough power on SCART connector but question really is why would you use external sync stripper if the switch has integrated sync regeneration?

Good point, would that sync regenerator be able to ensure everything flowing through it is delivered as CSync to the output? I ask because I have a PVM that is finicky and won't play nice with anything besides Csync which I think I read somewhere these do by default? We are rapidly approaching the edge of my technical know how on it all.

I usually test everything on my Sony BVM and I have no problems with my consoles so I presume there is at least one configuration of each console which works.

Thanks, probably good then. I have a Sony 2950Q and that and the XM29 are notorious for being picky on sync. Mine didn't handle Sync on Luma well from my RGB modded N64 until I introduced the Sync Stripper then it was fine. So I imagine it will probably work as it sounds like the sync regeneration will operate as a better sync stripper essentially?

Yes, it has lower latency and more precise.

Superg, I've been waiting for months to get one of these gcompsw ever since it featured in that My Life in Gaming video. I purchased it yesterday, and I look forward to it's arrival!

With that being said, what component cables do you recommend to hook the gcompsw to the TV? I'll be using pretty high quality gaming cables, including the ever elusive Gamecube component cables, so I really don't want to diminish that by accidentally buying garbage cables to hook it to the TV.

So yeah, what do you suggest?

Also, my email address is saxiestmanalive4 at gmail dot com. Do you know when my order is going out and a rough estimate on how long it will take to arrive? Like I said, I'm excited. Lol.

SuperG, i received the shipment label for gcompsw but not for gscartsw, and the strange is that i first ordered gscartsw and only after a bit of time i ordered gcompsw.
I was ready at order opening for gscartsw so i think i was one of the first or almost i don't think that i was late to buy it.
Payment was completed successfully at order completion as stated in paypal but shipment label for gscartsw was not yet communicated.
Can you please see if my order is on the way and you see it as correctly received.
I don't want to put you in a hurry, i am only a bit worried that my order is correctly received because you told that you shipped a huge batch of gscartsw and i didn't receive any label, while for gcomp i correctly had.
Please tell me what you need to identify it and i will send you as MP if necessary

Thanks a lot.

Don't post your email publicly, spam bots will grab it and you'll start to be inundated with unwanted emails. :(

He ships Priority Mail Flat Rate, generally 1-3 days once it's dropped off. Tracking is emailed to you when the label is created via PayPal

I found some new old stock of Monster cables some years back for a couple bucks. Completely overpriced back in the day, but Monster really did know how to build and shield their cables. Look on Amazon, I've seen some sellers list new old stock over the years for around $5-10 with free shipping if you're a Prime member.

I purchased both units as well and received tracking for both 1 day apart from each other. No need to worry, Superg is a stand up guy, you'll get your tracking for the second item soon enough. :D

The SCART output of the toro is CSYNC right? Is it already 75 ohms and I simply need a passthrough cable or will the scart cable in question need to have the proper resistor in it + capacitors?. I ask cause I might pick this up with it but might just pick up one from RCA.

Each day I ship only one thing, either lites or gcompsw's - it's much easier for me this way. Yesterday it was gcompsw's. Today lites. If you say that you ordered two devices roughly at the same time it might get shipped today. PM me the email you used to make the order and I will check.

I wouldn't spend too much for the component cable, get the one where red green and blue video lines are physically thicker than audio lines, that should be enough. In general SCART cables are big pain in the ass while component cables are fine because by default they have separate lines.
