Everytime this thread get pushed up, somewhere - very deep inside of me - a glimpse of hope for the dreaded DDP DOJ patch comes up only to die again moments after.
When Ketsui gets released we really need a new thread for Ketsui alone

I to buy an old CRT monitor now

I really don't have the room ... whatever, I'll kick out the girlfriend then.
Ive the same problem with my 21" crt, atm its plonked on the floor in my bedroom. And when i tell those who live with me that its for playing shmups in TATE all i get back is a load of blank looks
^^Maybe they think "tate" is some kind of sick japanese fetish.
"...and he has a big monitor in his bedroom where he does shmup and tate!"
"What a pervert!"
So when is going to be ready the pacth for DOJ. I am just tired of waiting and all they say is the same fucking thing: wait it is just around the corner!!!
But every time they say that, the damn patch gets delayed again and again

At this point they're delaying the patch just to piss you off.
Nothing will touch the PS2 generation of arrange modes in terms of difficulty, but Galuda II Black has some challenge, and DS 1.1 is challenging as well.
^^ I find Mushihimesama Arrange is a bit easier than the real thing, it's the only mode I can 1CC. Ibara Arrange is pretty slick, I like the weapon control system more than the original game but it's still masochistic as far as difficulty unless you are a master rank control guru.
ESPG Arrange is still the most intense shmup on PS2, I'll give you that.
Pretty stoked about Ketsui since I've never played it - but every single one of these games comes out right after I have vacation from work, argh oh well.

as a person who has played Ketsui on a constant basis, imo, this conversion or port or whatever the fuck you wanna call it, looks so uninspired. No additional modes and it seems like this game is gonna be released strictly for the demand and fan base. Im sure cave can up thier game up. I wonder what of DLC Ketsui will have because so far, it looks rushed and very "bare bones" oh well. Im just hating cuz i dont have a jap 360 lol..
The cave whore count in this thread is unbelievable!!!

The fact that this game is getting ported at all is a huge bonus - but I guess this is what happens when you get spoilt by four cave ports in one year. Also, there is an additional mode which looks pretty good so far.

this
PS2 port: canceled
XBLA port: refused
X360 port on 2009: delayed
shmup community waited almost 7 years to get this game on console, so we all know a decent port of arcade mode is enough
