lol I totally forgot temp tattoos were like that, haven't seen one in so long. A scan should still be worth a shot, some photoshop trickery could get them into good shape. And who wouldn't want a Cho Aniki tattoo?

It was a little bit like x-mas the last couple of days:

Got meself some pork-action, Deathsmiles and a few doujin games. Crimzon Clover, Espgaluda II and Mushi I got allready for a while, so ignore them... ^^

Image

Here the doujin games in all their glory (they are: Scarlet Meister, Alltynex Second and Master Burner Climax):

Yeah, and the postman brought something else, too:

It's a 20.1" SuperSharp Monitor from Dell, with integrated Pivot-Mechanism for easy tate'ing! *gleeeeeeee*:

And in Action:

I just love it! :-)
And on a sidenote: I finally finished my dedicated MAME-PC for the Blast City:

Hehe, I must be mad... I just went to the City by train...

And returned with/on this:

(Picture taken about 30 min. before this post, hehe)

Bugger me, I'm exhausted. I never imagined the way home from the city to be THIS steep... Wow... I almost had a heartattack and lost 1 kg in water!

Reminds me that this has been sitting on my shelf for 5+ years and I've never played it :P Maybe when I'm old and retired I will find time to catch up on my gaming back-log! :D

Fun fact: Arasoi had me make a custom NES pad specifically for playing this game on his MD, for that classic Megaman feeling (I also added a switch which toggled "AB" and "BC" button mode, and an extra switch so he could also use it on his MSX system) :D

MCS AWSD 2P overlay (replaced Egret 3 cp)
2 X Seimitsu LS32 sticks to replace the Sanwa's
2 X Meshballs
Seimitsu PS-14-KN smoke buttons to replace the Sanwa's. Bagged some coloured card from the local stationary stop to match the colours of the cp.
2 X Sanwa OBSN-24 start buttons

Sorry for naff pics, in the 'flesh' you can't see the white on the buttons, they just look smoked on the sides:

This is pretty much the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I'm so getting some temporary tattoo paper and printing out the Cho Aniki one.

Here is something a bit different and probably not very interesting I bought today, a book about Japanese shop cards:

It was quite expensive, but when I saw it I knew I had to have it. It's COOL right? Right? I also bought several books about type design.

I really should never go into book shops without sensible people who will stop me from buying things I don't need and can't afford.

I had a friend in High School that had an Opel Kadett. Great cars!

I really have a soft spot (or a hard spot) for 60s-70s European cars. I really enjoyed my BMW 2002 while I owned it.

I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

haha awesome cars, ive had both of them before, they have one thing in common - if you dont handle them with baby gloves they'll rust up on you like you wouldnt believe!

GREAT drivers tho, the volvo is superbly balanced, loads of fun to slide around snowy roads on.
dont know what its like to own in the US but here in sweden its about the cheapest car you can own aswell, I once blew the top gasket in cold weather (still managed to drive 800kms home with water/oil leaking into the cylinders!) and had to completely rehaul the engine and gearbox, took my a weekend and cost me about $400 in parts, hard to beat!

I may still have some parts for it, lmk if you need anything :)

The Opel GT is great aswell, it really is stunningly beautiful, a real sleeper hit of a car aswell, people cant believe its an Opel when they see it

Lovely car, nice! It probably won't work anymore by the way, but cars that old are simple to fix. Have you at least had a relative starting it up every month?

Last I heard, my mom drives it to her tennis lessons. I haven't enquired about it lately... But you're right - its dead simple to work on and parts are really cheap. Performance is so-so and it could really do with being a 5-speed, but the handling is unsurpassed.
