Also, I don't know how anyone can survive in Recca. It's so damned fast, it makes Dangun look like a dead hippo stapled to the ground in terms of speed.

I had never even touched Battle Bakraid before just because I'm not a huge fan of Yagawa's stuff, but I gave it a shot after watching Kaiser's playthrough and I'm really into it! The bullets aren't trying to hide at all so you can clearly see all threats, the music is really good, I like the selection of ships, and the challenge is at the perfect level for me. I managed 3.5 million on my first credit and I think I should be able to 1CC it pretty soon.

DonPachi, got myself killed in the lamest situation ever on level 3: the game was experiencing massive, massive slowdown, and the milisecond before I bombed, I get nailed. F-F-FFFFFFFFFFF.
And I just collected a bomb icon. 2 seconds prior.

Giga Wing Generations. Stage 4 is giving me trouble. It pisses me off because I've no-missed it before, but it just won't happen again. After the 1CC I might work on a presentable score if I'm not sick of Takumi by then.

Dimahoo. Not trying to score at all except some secret items I know which will help me get an extend later. Eh, I find bosses fairly easy with character i'm using. except last stage ones. Now it all comes down to no-missing until stage 5/last stage then ALL is a big maybe.

Guwange. I don't know how I used to hate this game. It's fun, and it's Cave's prettiest game on their first gen hardware. Progear still has it beat, but that was on the CPS-2, so it doesn't count.

Out Zone (set 1, natch), for a bit of competetive 'shmuppreciation' on another forum. Even though it's more of a run 'n' gun. I'm just getting into stage 4, which is much more comfortable and familiar territory than the first few levels, so I'm hoping to make big improvements on my current score (of just over 500,000) soon. 'No autofire' is one of the stipulations of our wee comp, though, so I might well develop carpal tunnel syndrome before then.
