Slowly reacquainting myself to the genre, and slowly coming to realize I totally suck now.

Gradually getting Dragon Blaze's first loop under control. The extend no longer startles me. Yesterday it was like this:

Got over my trauma and began playing some Giga Wing again. I love this game, but it can also be very annoying at times...
If there´s enogh time, I´ll also continue practising Strikers 1945.

I´ve had enough of Tatsujin/Truxton for the moment. Don´t know if I´ll return to it in the near future.

And playing Jets'n'Guns and Tyrian, rare gems from the west. Special mentions for Jets'n'Guns, which is one of the European-land made that done very well done (instead of typical shovelware cash-ins). Great job RakeInGrass! Special mentions for the music, which is ROCKS!

Tyrian is made in USA and sadly the devs split up, despite being a masterpiece that starts with the letter T before Touhou is known in the West.

If you play western shmups, don't judge by hitboxes and bullet patterns, but they have great aesthetic like story, animation, graphics, and musics. Something that Jap developers cramp them into RPG instead of several shmups (I like JRPG, but they have VERY SLOW pacing).

No, this game is just really bloody hard. The patterns never get extremely dense, but they move 4x faster than any other Cave game.

No, this game is just really bloody hard. The patterns never get extremely dense, but they move 4x faster than any other Cave game.

I'm aware. It's one of the few Cave games that doesn't adhere to the "lots and lots of bullets" methodology. I used to be able to get farther than I can now. Maybe I'm just spoiled by ship slowdown mechanics.

I took a hint from Momijitsuki and tried ChoRenSha, which I was very bad at last I played, and got to stage 4 on my second try. Too bad that still left me with a score half as big as any on the scoreboard.

Playing some DOJ, I suck at this really badly, keep dieing at the level 2 boss...
Mostly because I keep losing lives on level 1 from thinking my hitbox was 32 pixels to the right from where I actually was...
Haven't played in ages though. Also, the fact that if you don't actually try, you can almost effortlessly get your combo to 400+ is really weird to me.
