Fuzzy, upscaled pixels yes. Play DOJBLEX on a VGA tube, then do the same with Mushi Futari 360 mode.

If pixles didn't mean shit to me I would just play everything through RF on some old turd. They do look really bad. Especially w/ the high res versions in the same package. I'll still buy it, mainly for the extra mode. But, as a paying customer, I'm paying for my right to moan, even though I understand updating an old game is far from trivial.Domino wrote: Does the pixels really hurt you?

2 days later and still no detailed impressions in English of Ketsui EXTRA from the Shooting Festa?
Sorry, I forgot about the insightful and helpful:
'screen was full of those green boxes no matter what was happening'
As a thank you to 5pb. (and a reminder of what they/we have been through), because if it wasn't for them, this game would never of been converted, I have made a little fan made trailer for their upcoming release. Good luck 5pb. with it all:

Cave were so interested in Ketsui for the home they flogged it remember.
Cheers though 5pb.!

I finished DOJBLEX this weekend 100% - It's my fave shooter and when installing it to the HDD the loading times aren't that bad. Can't wait for Ketsui (especially after that half-shoddy DS port attempt).

I would like to know:
1) If anyone asked if it will get it's own stick.
2) If it had any slowdown and if so how did it compare to the PCB.
3) If it had any graphical glitches and if so how did it compare to the PCB.
4) If the option screens were made avaialable to the public in terms of scanlines, wait, stage select, replay saving and screen orientation especially. If not what was the reply when these questions were put to a representative at the show.
5) What the loading were times like.
6) How many stages were demoed?
For starters.
Appreciated their photographs but
'screen was full of those green boxes no matter what was happening'
Left a lot to be desired.
I'm not interested in any extra modes so that's easy.
A link to someone that actually played it and has worthy experience with the PCB, in English.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

I haven't play Ketsui on the arcades enough to remember where the slowdowns happen. As far as I could tell, there were no glitches and the loading times seemed fast. As for screen orientation options, there were a couple tated LCDs and one yoko set up of Ketsui but didn't see any scanline selection. I know is not much but I was busy taking pictures for the report.

Re: Ketsui X and Daioujou Black Label X - Ports for Xbox 360
god, just hearing the music from the game makes me want to import a 360 to play this bad boy.
I haven't had a swing at Ketsui in more than 2 years, but I remember the time I had with it was awesome enough to want to buy the PCB, but I think these days it'd be cheaper to buy a J360 + game than the PCB + supergun or whatever

The blogger didn't answer any of those questions, because all he played was After Burner Climax, KOF Sky Stage, and Senko no Ronde DUO.adversity1 wrote: Someone has answered your prayers:

The 4th day of no detailed impressions in English of Ketsui EXTRA from the Shooting Festa.
5pb. was right in what they told me once. The West ain't ready for these games as the West doesn't give a toss, clearly.
Am I in the right place? I would ask Brian Ashcraft (chief Japanese speaking games master reporter ever) but Ketsui doesn't have slitty eyes and a gash so he wouldn't be interested.
Cheers.

Re: Ketsui X and Daioujou Black Label X - Ports for Xbox 360
Maybe no one here went? The thread at cave-stg.com has plenty of information about the port and it seems like it'll turn out fine.
I consider myself a fan of the game but this event didn't seem like a big deal so I opted not to go. Ketsui has been out for 7 years and I've had access to it for nearly all of that time so not my biggest priority to see this port. I'm not real into the culture of "I got the news/game/crap first!" The way I see it, there will be a time in the not-too-distant future where many of us on this forum will have this game on our shelf and will not feel like playing it (see: Mushi Futari 360, Galuda PS2, and every game released since the dawn of the message board). I'll enjoy it with the rest of you in due time.
