That's a great size. imo there's not much reason to get anything larger.

I'll have pics later tonight, but I just came back from my lunch (or dinner, I guess?) break with a boxed copy of Steel Battalion with the controller  Local store had one for $150 that had the original box, the controller (albeit the model 2 blue button one, but hey), both the original SB and the sequel (which is still playable via Xlink Kai), and some kind of weird GC/PS2/Xbox VGA adapter (looks like it's just a composite/SVideo-VGA converter that goes straight from the consoles).

I was hesitant to pick it up, but goddammit, I've waited 9 goddamn years to get my hands on this thing, and with it staring me right in front of my face for not much more (or less in some cases) than it sells for on eBay! Hell yeah. I did recently sell some things, so I'm not out totally from it, so whatevs. Can't wait to hook this sumbitch up

Congrats! Easily one of the greatest games ever made. I envy anyone who gets to unbox it for the first time.

Works great, now to dig into this game and figure out wtf I'm doing, then maybe hook up with some people through Xlink Kai in Line of Contact.

This game has my favorite piece of SNK art ever. The LD has a large insert of the front cover without the logos in the corners, suitable for framing.

Damn, so you did get it even without me, huh?! I didn't know you were after it, as they had one at the Joplin store quite awhile back. I went to Arkansas about two years ago and this GameXChange had probably 6(!) of them as well!

Yeah, I threw some random crap on eBay to offset the cost a bit. I need to stop randomly browsing game stores during my lunch breaks, it's costing me far more than I anticipated

The J360 and DDP DFK 1.5/BL that I ordered got held by customs in Oakland, Ca for...get this...radiation screening. Play-asia ships from Hong Kong too. I guess they really are taking extreme cautionary measures at the West Coast ports.

I'm yet to get a FF tough, but soon as I can be bothered I'm going to post in this thread and go Famicom wars with you in a bit of friendly collector rivalry. :)

Mind if I ask what you shelled out for the WG's dude?

I'm afraid that might happen to all of my recently shipped orders.. :? I believe it's going to take even longer for SAL to get into the US...

Your SFC collection is shaping up quite nicely Almighty! Very sharp lineup and condition.

Definitely had a blast collecting boxed SFC games. The best is when you discover titles that have little to no information on western websites (at the time at least). I was actually kinda sad after I checked everything off my list actually. lol

I'm glad they are doing that. It should go a long way toward easing fears and such, particularly when it's not 100% clear where some things are coming from. I wonder if it's a clear and consistent policy. Most of my import goods hit Chicago first.

A little late to the party with the DS XL and Caanoo.... but had a little bit of a resurgence of interest in the DS lately after playing the Crayon Shinchan games (pretty crazy). The Caanoo was a bit of an impulse. Considering I haven't even opened the Wiz I got on release! haha

@ Stealthlurker

Mind if I ask where you landed Zenki FX and what it cost. I've been wanting one for a bit, but not sure what it's worth.

Picked it up over on Yahoo Japan auctions. A bit over 200 USD. Not including shipping and middleman fees.

I must admit all this color on the screen is giving me the urge to splash on some color of my own.

May i ask why you went for the DSi?
The 3DS is releasing in less than a week.
But having owned several units of every DS hardware revision, i can tell you that you went with the best one.
