Someone help a brotha out. Whats a good, cheap, decent size crt that is tate'able?
Also on my current tv a Memorex which I have tate'd, the image looks fine and everything. Only problem is at the very top of the screen the image begins to "bend" when ever bullets fly up towards it from my ship. It isn't game breaking but its pretty distracting, I wish it wouldn't do this.

Might as well post this here too: http://www.ghegs.com/img/ghegs_gaming_setup.jpg
It's a pretty big pic, so beware.
The tate tv doesn't have a broken glass, the camera's flash just created a weird effect.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Under the TV there's a little amplifier.
In the upper shelf lies the supergun + pcb.
In the middle there's room for consoles.
Two big speakers are on the ground.

On these pins you can adjust the image.
And here's another pic from the sideart:

That's really one of the best looking non-original sideart I've seen. Great idea.antares wrote:And here's another pic from the sideart:

Thought I might post my shmup setup as well after lurking around in the forums for almost 5 years.

Connected to the Barco RGB screen: Saturn, PS2, Supergun

Small Sony CRT for everything retro related: PCE, MD, FC and Saturn.
Everything else (like mainstream soft) is connected to a 37" HDTV. Although that setup is quite nice I think, I'm planning to improve it someday soon. The Barco screen shall become just another RGB monitor for retro consoles as I'm hopefully gonna be able to track down an Egret 2 within the next year or so. Ketsui is about to come too ^_____^

DC modded PS2 and MAME/PC. The Street Fighter 4 stick is for 360/PC and has all Sanwa parts. The HRAP2:SA is a PS2/XBOX360/PC mod with an LS-32 and Sanwa buttons,
Not pictured is 42" Panasonic Plasma and Xbox 360, they are directly 180 degrees behind where I was standing when I took this pic at eye level on the opposite wall.

Here's a pic of the NEC XM29 I have running all of my tate'd systems at the moment.

...and the resolutuion is just stupidly awesome.

I also have about 6 27" TV's in prep for this weekend's shmupmeet, which I picked up for $20-30 for each of them and they all work great and look great. Tried all of them tated and I'm pretty impressed what $20 can get you. Craigslist is key.
