Yes 17,8 mil one... that guy got a Pure H score... it's not an All but worth watching really... notman says something about secret 1up on second boss! :O

It's not a secret 1up on the second boss, that's just the delayed 1.5M score extend, delayed due to not having any flying enemies to drop it at the 1.5M mark.

I didn’t know you could start the game with lowest rank by exiting Service Mode with the start button.

[edit]Forget that, pressing the start button while powering up the game works too, although in MAME this is awkward, so doing what I said above or holding start then pressing F3 is better for MAME.

Wow, crazy replay! Finally something high level hits the streets. Those two medal drops were heartbreaking, easily well over 20 million is possible with these techniques. Just fantastic stuff.

Damn, the way he milks certain areas by carefully using the Garegga options to not directly shoot the boss/mini boss is awesome, never even thought about techniques like that before.

Any chance of someone uploading this replay as a video, even if it´s just on YouTube? I am on a Mac, so those MAME versions are little use to me. I really, really want to see this

Its a shame how he died though in this run as he could of done a fair bit better then he did.

He didn't even put his initials in which is a sign that he could of been pissed off with his performance in this run hahah.

Only had time to watch it halfway through, but man, this is really good stuff. I especially liked the diagonal-downwards shooting Garegga options at Boredom to milk the small enemies - I could never figure out something like that.

I need some help controling the rank. Seems that my best runs is when I screw up and die on an unplanned part of my run. I just want to 1cc the damn thing but it is proving to be impossible right now. I know my rank control is a mess because one time when I got to discharge instead of the turrets before him shooting lasers, they shot this odd spread pattern which was impossible for me to dodge. Are there any very noticable parts in the game that alert you for a suicide or is at all just gradual increase in bullet speed? The only places I can tell if my rank is high is the helecopter in the sewer (the frequency in which he shoots) and Deviate's first pattern speed.

My route right now is Sky High, Sewer, then Airport. I have noticed that a lot of people do Airport second. Does this route help with rank control? Or is there some score advantages that I am missing. I seem to net a few more medals here and there with sewer second.

Cigs helped me out with this section, just stay top centre and come down with those turrets and they can't shoot (at least not until you're forced further down the screen, by which time your side pods should have destroyed them).
If they shoot lasers, that's high rank, bullets = low rank.
Rank control in Advance course seems to be helped by entering the last two stages on your last life. Playing as a single character you should be fine with keeping your lives low. Discharge's final form can be nasty as hell if you haven't controlled rank up to that point. Icarus's analytical approach helped him here, whereas my many encounters with Advance's Discharge always ended in failure due to my oldskool instincts forcing me to retain too many lives

The fact that Raizing forces you to keep a low life stock on more than one of its games, really does mess with my natural instincts

I 1cc'd special course, first form of discharge reveals laser cannons if you destroy a burning helicopter at boredom... it means burning helicopters when destroyed affect rank a lot so evade destroying them fully ^^ so this is a tip for advanced too guys

got 5,9 mil today on advanced... stage 6 boss killed me because OF SUPER-HIGH RANK that first midboss has super-uber fast spread... it wasn't even whole second to get it across screen. Remember kids, don't ever collect
shot/option special power-up again... it increases the time of fastening rank a LOT (I faced two rivals on that run)
