Or better: it was a slight improvement in a non recorded run ;)

Simply cause I wasn't going to post any score lower than 150M.

I was trying the new Neverland's Egret.

Thanks for posting BR1. It would be sad if someone worked hard for months to barely beat your 126M run only to have you to turn around the next day and post a better score you had already gotten.

Uh, OK: I understand your point of view.

Well I must say I don't play Full-Runs unless I'm sure I really improved a lot. So it could happen that I would post a higher score just a few hours later, if beated in the board. But I assure I'm not joking on anybody! :) ;)

Hi, would you mind changing my name (JTW) to Salem Witch Trials. I've got some of each on different boards, so just for the sake of consistency.
And I'm legally changing my middle name so JTW won't be my initials anymore.
:P Thanks

Salem Witch Trials!, your username is pretty long and it'd break my score table, so I'll just use SWT! instead.

Thanks very much.

By the way, is there any way to make bee storm work on mame? It says the rom is "not working" but I remember seeing a bee storm replay on a Mame action replay page.

Well half of the game 'works' but you get no bullets from the enemies... so it was pretty simple for the people who made replays on MARP :D

Seems like you put me up in the ranking but forgot to update my score :? Also, I switched from B-L to A-L. Not much of a change, but reaching the 2nd loop is easier with the red ship.

Furthermore, don't you feel like the hitbox on the red ship is more obvious than on the other ships? Basically, it seems to be located aroud the diamond-shaped thingy in the center of the ship.

Yes, the hit box of red ship is very easy to spot.

Ploughed through a hangover playing DDP today. Chaining stage 2 consistently now and usually 1 life up to the stage 4 bosses last attack.

Lost 4 lives on the first half of stage 5 on this run and nearly quit :?

freddiebamboo - 55,042,060 - C-S - 1-6 - 461

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d124/ ... p55mil.jpg

EDIT: Also, just realised the stage 3 boss is a lot easier if you leave the four little turrets round its cockpit alive. I always used to take them out quickly cause they were a bit annoying.

MTH - 16'713'270 - C-S - 1-5 - 204

died a rather frustrating death at level 5's boss, could have gotten over 18M if I just had beaten him...

Can't chain level 3 for the life of me and actually rather rarely go over 150 hits before level 5... where there are so many enemies it gets hard to actually MISS anything for a split second.

You should get pretty far with that PCB. Its slows down more than my international version PCB. I miss it.

I'm starting to do this as well, good tip. I just hate trying to dodge that spread pattern at the end (with no little pods left) when halfway down the screen there are no more gaps...and you have to try the dreaded "squeeze between two connecting bullets" trick.

Yeah, you never seem to get the blue bullet spam when you want it. Its always the circular bloody spreads with that pattern that makes you go off laser and run to the corner of the screen :x

I really need to get to the second loop on this. I think I'm becoming slighly obsessed now. I'm going for about 60mil+ on this before I move on to something else.

BTW, you have an awesome score Dave

The level one chain of 150+ is actually not too difficult with practice. Same goes for a relatively easy 200 on first half of stage 2 with C-S. BR1 has an excellent replay in the old thread (maybe this one... haven't checked) that shows what to do.

I wouldn't worry about not chaining stage 3, its difficult and its impossible to fully chain. I'd concentrate on the bullet cancelling bonuses of the big yellow ships halfway through (let the pink needle bullets build up and then blow up the ships).

been meaning to put a score up for ages and just beat my high score today so:

msm 35'570'940 C-S 1-6 270

i hope to get to the second loop one day but it seems a long way off, any chaining at the moment is done by pure accident :?

Lost the first life just before the fifth boss, got a pretty sweet bomb-bonus during the fifth stage. :D
65 mil and 1 life left after the first loop, died the last one at the last turret before the 1up...a bit annoying.

Not a great start but I'm partially satisfied with this run.
