Yeah, the pastry machine boss is "cake" (sorry), but I mean yeah, took 1 go to learn where you need to be on him. In fact the first 3 bosses are very easy imo.Deca wrote:OK so I'm honestly getting really confused, because the parts people seem to be complaining about the most are giving me no issues at all. I really can't comprehend the stage 3 boss being difficult and I've found stage 4 one of the easier ones to recover in due to the constant supply of powerups from the small birds in front of you. Stage 4 is always really tense for me but probably the stage in which I screw up the least. I keep screwing myself over going for bells usually :I
I personally need a green bell to help with the 3rd boss. If you're talking about the Maoi Battleship then it can be random after killing a boss in stages 2-6 depending on the number that is in the hundreds digits. I think the numbers are somewhere in this thread earlier if I remember right.CulDad78 wrote: Yeah, the pastry machine boss is "cake" (sorry), but I mean yeah, took 1 go to learn where you need to be on him. If you die on stage 3, it can be tough to recover since so much stuff coming from all directions and trying to blast through the cake at the same time w/one bullet, that can be tough, but i'm still mostly dying trying to keep chains going.
Also - what is the determining factor of if the fire board / head/lip / springy neck thing is the 3rd (sometimes 4th) board or not? In my experience, it appears whenever i'm having a solid run, and it wipes me out. But is there a certain factor that actually determines its coming up next?
Yeah, exactly. I don't think I've died since the first time I fought it unless I was zoning out and forgot he was about to charge. The amount of difficulty people seem to be having made me repeatedly check my wait setting on the PSP version to make sure I wasn't accidentally cheating or something, but everything is set to arcade defaults just as it should be :sCulDad78 wrote:Yeah, the pastry machine boss is "cake" (sorry), but I mean yeah, took 1 go to learn where you need to be on him. I no-missed up until the stage 3 boss and it was all hopped up on RANK and instead of its normal patterns it just kept charging over and over.Zerst wrote:Have you died before then?
