Probably the latest you can legitimately obtain, yes....

Loving this game, tons of fun to play in TATE. Did anyone ever get an arcade stick to work with it using Joy2Key or something similar?
Just beginning my journey into this wonderful genre, can't believe what I've been missing all this time...

My Xbox 360 Controller works fine with GwangeDash (albeit without a way to configure buttons) using the XBCD drivers. Xpadder is probably the solution most fitting for you though.

Also, it seems I've missed out on the latest release as well. Would someone kindly send a PM my way? ;)

Agree 100%

I was hoping in v1.0 you can choose maniac or death label right when you are at the begining. Or are they part of a 2nd loop?

Death Label is selectable from the Main Menu, Maniac is a 2nd loop function if memory serves me right BUT you can enable it in the Test menu and just go to Stage 1 and it will have the same effect as that anyway.

Also, has anyone else had problems trying to run the keyconfig program? It never seems to work for me and I don't know what the precise requirements are since it works on my iMac dualbooting Windows but nothing else. :S

That's a great idea!
I havn't encountered any issues with any of the ships so far in this release, but I'd still like to see a more detailed scoreboard.
There's also something on the 2chan board about the download being pulled because of foreign distribution, but how did the developer know? The file was only up for four hours before being deleted but maybe the uploader can see d/ler's IP address or maybe it was just up for a short time to minimise the likelihood of foreign attention.
Anyway, there's no denying that this just keeps getting better :D

I'm really enjoying playing v0.995 but am keen to try v0.999.

Any chance someone could send me a PM?

Cheers :)

It truly makes you wonder why they went through all the trouble of putting pretty much all the in-game text in english. It... it just makes no sense.

At that rate, put all the text in kanji like Siter Skain did with Kamui and call it a day.

I will wait for the official release, maybe someone could forward a translated readme as well. Or we could get the developer to post here too? It's not that we are going to eat him alive or something, right?

At least to tell him how awesome this is shaping up...

So, nobody agreed we need the RayForce ships? :P

This is getting kinda hectic now!
Next test version's up: http://www1.axfc.net/uploader/Si/so/105025
Keyword: 春夏秋冬 (does this mean "Seasons"? Anyway getting the hang of the idea that the key is the word in the post but in kanji))
So maybe the previous version being removed had nothing to do with us at all...or maybe it did!
Let's see how long this version's up for :D
And yes Ray Force, Soukyuugourentai, TFV lock-on laserzzzzz pleeezzzz!!!!!!!

PS3 HRAP3 works properly with no special steps required.

He deleted the last one because of a problem he found himself. The thing about foreigners was basically him saying "don't spread this version around any more, it's not supposed to be for regular playing anyway".

Oh no! And that latest version just crashes on me when I run the .exe!

Edit: Problem fixed by switching XP default input language to Japanese :D

Well, a feature request I've wanted since the first time I tried the game: Configurable keyboard controls.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself

Latest version crashing on both my XP machines ( so I'm guessing it's not a hardware issue).
Disaster!

But PROBLEM FIXED. Just had to switch XP default input language to Japanese
(not sure why this issue has only happened with this version though).

So you have to use Applocale or something like that?

The detective in me tells me it could be that they are going to implement japanese characters under the english text... or they read my previous post (GOD NO, no, no, no GOD NO...*insert reaction video of The Office*) and are ready to put kanji all over the place.

Game-wise, nothing else changed? Closer and closer to the definitive one?

I tried Applocale but couldn't get it to run so I just switched everything to Japanese in the XP Regional and Language Settings from the Control Panel.
I started getting a bit paranoid that the change of download keyword from Latin characters to kanji and the way the instructions were coded in the 2chan post ("use this word but put it in Chinese script") were deliberate moves to make it difficult for non-japanese to access the download. Now suddenly the game can only be run with localised Japanese settings so I wonder.
Havn't noticed any massive changes yet but this does seem to be running a bit more smoothly on my low-end machine.

I've found I only had to change 'Language for non-Unicode Programs' under the Advanced tab to Japanese for it to run - I was able to keep the other language settings in English.

I'm using XP SP3.

Just dumped another energy drink for my next session on this game! :D

This foriegner-hate business is starting to piss me off. Especially considering one of their sources of inspiration was Xeno Fighters which has no such anti-foriegn coding policy.

Haven't even downloaded the latest version, but hopefully they either make a clear statement about how to get it working or fix it to work as before. Then again "it's not supposed to be for regular playing anyway" so one can hope he's not going completely xenophobic on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that at some point there was ideas suggested on the 2ch thread that were said to be suggested from Xeno Fighters (ie. Gemini Wing) and that in turn was mentioned earlier in this thread.

My point still stands however, this anti-foriegn stuff really is a waste of time - Japan-exclusive settings and attempts to stop foriegners from downloading it. :| at me all you like.

Can you say thanks, and that I think the game is very fun, and of high quality.
I am impressed by the amount of ships that they have put in, but it can be hard to choose one to play with. A random select like in a fighting game would be great.
