I do not know how this happened, but I did play this game again. During that, my GF came in, who is the typical, female, casual gamer. Can you guess what she said?
"Err, what crap is that you're playing there?" :D
This is no joke. But as my hatred for this abomination got further fueled, I managed to squeeze some more points of it. And I am scared by the thought that I might even do this again this week...

Also, I would really love to see a fourth upgrade for Flint that adds brain to it. Flint had me thinking about the game a brief bit, though. And what I really like about is that your trusty companion who follows your order is kind of a pulsating ball with a long, dangerous, yet not completely unflexible stick on it. And what makes the symbolism in that even better is, that he is invulnerable. This would also explain the lack of brain...

Enough BS!

Cant seem to get past stage 3 on my runs but i can do it with some consistancy using save state pratice.

Although i like the original gradius on the NES this game seems to take all the worst parts of gradius X10, ie overlly hard after dieing and offscreen bullets. :(

Hope i do better tomorro, it doesnt help as my main pad has bitten the dust and im using a shitty spare which is awfull for fitting between tight spaces.

One of the best Game Over screens once you've put in your initials. What are the kanji options for? Age? The first one is child. The game's okay, I like the flint, usefull. Go watch the Pro Review video.

Man, I love how weird the levels are and seeing all the cool creatures and strange designs (the waterfalls in level 3 were great) but it's pretty tough to play for score.
Making an action platformer with a transforming grappling hook: ChainStaff. Also made a shmup with multi-ships: Shoot 1UP DX, and more .

I think if this game had set extends and no check point system it would be quite the awesome game.

Gettin' somewhere now, thankfully. This was my first time past stage 4 (why are these bosses all so easy?). I did have a better run going but MY FREAKING BOBULE GOT STUCK INSIDE THE WALL AND COULDN'T GET OUT.

Stage 5 partly lucky, partly played well. First time to the boss, two tries. And he´s gets me both times while being almost dead. Man I´m pissed now.
I would´ve just quit if I had made it to 1-6.

This has happened to me twice. Then I go and die in places you should not die. And then I rage reset.

Some objects are hidden in every stage. If you shoot them they become visible. They´re mostly weapons, but if you´re lucky it will be an extra life. It´s pure random.

This. Either give them out every time or not at all, not some random crapfest.
