Yeah, I knew 11/10 was the date since I read it on Asada's website which was posted before this supposed 10/29 date, or at least I thought it was...

Guwange's date hasn't changed from Nov 10. People are dragging discussion of the release date of the PAL version of Raiden Fighters Aces into the thread.

On a more serious note, i'm really wondering how this is going to look. I've seen screenshots from Cave, where it kind of looks like Ketsui, and then I see some that look like the filter is turned off, and it looks like Cave's "Arcade Modes" in their newer games. Which is not good.

I hope that filter is good. Not too blurry or whatever.

Said release date should be announced this week or the next. In other news if you buy 2400 MSP in October get 800MSP free.

every bet that it's the same filter as in Futari which means that it'll blur the shit out of the game.

The Futari port was handled by M2, not Cave.

Which means Dangun Feveron will be the port with the blurred filter and odd stutters.

I'm not sure what exactly Guwange will use for filters but from the screen shots it looks alright. Anyone have the partner net version that can comment on this?

What type of setup are you using? There's an advanced menu with more display options. It displays nicely on my cab when I tweak the settings. I found a guide for it through google. It looks close to perfect.

I can check out my settings if you need me to.

Xbox 360 mode looks blurry on my HD CRT despite the change I make to the setting. Arcade mode looks great on my Arcade monitor though.

Some might have already seen it, but Siliconera has an interview with Asada in which he comments on Guwange and a few other things.

I have a feeling those iPhone games are funding some of these ports with how well they sell. Revenue return on something like Guwange on XBLA probably isn't all that great.

At the moment we do not have any plans to put [ESPrade]out on any platform.
:( I could easily see a solid Arrange mode for that game too that does away with the boss milking... speaking of which, I wonder if Guwange XBLA will still be counter-stoppable, as it'd be quite interesting to see some high-level competition on the leaderboards.

This isn't going to sell anywhere near the numbers seen with the iPhone releases, but it's probably seen as quite an important release to gage international interest. Plus it's more expensive, so doesn't need to do iPhone sales numbers to be as profitable. I can see it selling somewhere in the region of 30K to 40K, which is substantially less than XBLA Ikaruga. I still think it's the wrong Cave game to premiere on the service though.
