Ghosts n Goblins. Bought untested for £50 expecting it to be broken, wasn't disappointed Took four hours to fix a multitude of problems: dead, garbled backgrounds, no sprites, jailbarred sprites. Still, it was a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a working one...

The seller stated he was unable to test it, but at the same time he proposed the Jamma adapter for this game, so I supposed something was a bit fishy about that board..

That's the one. Golden rule of untested boards: It Is Broken. Even if the seller is honest it's usually broken.
I've gotten up to Evacaneer a few times. More often than not I bite it around the descent or shortly before/after.
I can usually get to Stage 5 losing only one life due to stupidity, but I'm just not consistent enough in that last stage.
It's nice seeing the slight differences in the pcb over the 360 port. I actually like how the sprites flash garbage when you blow up a lot of stuff at once. Cool glitch.
Maybe you can answer this question: I have both the original and the fixed (version 2) roms. With the original roms, do you know why sometimes the game will crash when it gets to demonstration upon startup? Can you do something to avoid it?
If you didn't have access to the fixed rom for Ketsui, then it's recommended that you don't select the "Free Play" option on the Operator's Menu Selection, otherwise you'll encounter a buggy Ketsui. With the fixed eprom in place, the bug goes away (even if you select Free Play option).
It's been said that the 360 port of Ketsui runs a tad bit faster than the actual PCB version. Of course, the PCB version is the one to own/play indeed.

Ketsui is 68000 based PGM, not SH-3 CV1000.
Yeah, you got me there, kernow. Yep, the usual three Cave PCB titles of DDP-DOJ, Ketsui & ESPgaluda are PGM-based titles. A typical DDP-DFK version 1.0, 1.5, 1.51 and Black Label variant PCBs would all be a fine example of a SH-3 powered PCB indeed. I got my PCB facts right this time around.
