^Indeed. Awesome game! I find it so funny that it's called 'Again' instead of just '2'. It just kinda comes out like "Oh, yeah, It's Ninja Warriors...Again. Great." Weirddddddd.

Picked up these 2 games just randomly browsing through a local game shop earlier:

Believe it or not, I've never actually played Sonic 1, and it was only 3 bucks complete, so what the hell. Happened across Sol Divide as well, so picked it up too.

Goddamn that shit pisses me off more than anything! I think it's just the Glenstone one that does that, I dunno though. I went there today and was looking at Master System games. Had to flip through a pile of shit to see what they are since they threw all of the boxes away a few months back. 32x and N64 I can deal with; everyone threw those boxes away at launch, but goddamn, not MS & Genesis games...

Yeah, you should check out the store on Kansas for Master System stuff, they have a lot of boxed Master System games.

Also, got this when I came home from work about an hour ago, I totally forgot I preordered it on Amazon, lol:

Now if we could only get Ys IV & V on PSP somehow, those are the only two missing now.

Dood! Hit me up! I can do big shipments fairly cheap if you wanna get it by boat. Takes a hella long time (1-2 months) but it's dirt cheap. I have a bulk candy/soda store right down the street from me. Hell, we may be able to barter for some more t-shirts!

Just got this in the mail today. Wasn't actually a buy, but a trade for my 3DO.

Image

I also just bought Bonk's Adventure and Blazing Lazers off ebay. Glad to finally have one, but the search is far from done.

SCART breakout adapters! For running RGB on an XM29 these are a great resource. Input SCART, LM1881 and logic gate outputs composite sync, and H/V sync respectively to 5 BNC, VGA, and a pin header. Stereo audio output on 2 RCA. Runs off 5-9V DC via pin header or barrel connector.

1 will go in a project box to drauch, the other for me.

3DO is pretty crappy, eh? The local thrift store has one and I wasn't sure if it would be worth the $5.

The original JPN PSX version of Sol Divide (that was released/published by Psikyo themselves) includes memory card saving of all your high scores for posterity + a mini RPG-like game using the Sol Divide characters -- both above features that were axed in XSGames' release of Sol Divide for the North American PSX marketbase.

I paid 3,900 yen for an brand new sealed copy of JPN PSX Sol Divide from a small import game shop in Akihabara district back in 2000. Well worth the yen that it commands (although SD isn't well regarded by the hard-core shmup community around these parts, I definitely do enjoy it considering that it's a yoko based Psikyo shmup title indeed). SD is regarded as the first arcade shmup title to utilize digitized fire effects during gameplay -- a rare novelity at the time of it's intial arcade PCB release worldwide.

How's the gameplay of that cool JPN region 3DS Ridge Racer 3D, drcharile? Does it run at an silky smooth arcade-spec 60fps framerate (like both PSP Ridge Racer & Ridge Racers games)?

The USA 3DS portable gaming console debut launch won't be until March of 2011...so a bit more of waiting for them.

Yeah. I mean, I have one, but I have a lot of shitty consoles. For $5 it would be worth the deal, yeah, it's just the library of titles are FMV games and PC ports, for the most part.

it's 30fps in 3D mode, the female announcers voice gets old very quick, only done the first event so not seen any new tracks (some classic tracks , some from the X360 version (the airport))

it's just Ridge i guess - at a lower frame rate and in 3D (which breaks down a little bit on corners)

For the other games, played Puzzle Bobble (again - it's what you'd expect though the 3D effect is surprisingly nice) and the others i'll hit up later today.

PSP Ridge Racer looks better than 3DS Ridge - that's a pretty big disappointment really. :(

I got myself a huge Creuset, pretty much exactly like this one. The thing is heavy as hell.
