Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Damn, nice haul! I thought I was finally going to get a boxed copy of Majyuuou awhile back for a decent price...but nope, ended at like 180 us dolla. I just want a cart of the damn game, but it seems like it even surfacing on ebay is a rare happening.

All I gotta say is hopefully you guys aren't getting these SFC games off ebay because people are being absolutely retarded as of late. Just one example of such idiocy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0551875450
Maybe after that lull in cave collecting people decided to go for SFC games.

My Astro got a new playmate today:

Smoothing off + scanlines through an Emotia does wonders on this game, it looks great.

Wow really? I'd love a copy of that game for around that price. That boxed price is insane though.drauch wrote:Holy shit! But you can get that cart for only 20 bucks shipped if your patient(!) People are nutz.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Yeah, you just have to be really patient. It seems like the average price is in the 30-40 range for cart only. I still need to pick it up myself. It seems like I always 'watch' it in my ebay and never bid...

What Undamned said, don't go near ebay. I've been collecting SFC stuff for a long time though, if there's been a recent resurgence of interest I haven't noticed as I've bagged most of the difficult stuff I wanted a while ago.drauch wrote:Damn, nice haul! $180 for a Majyuuouourou (everyone has a different spelling

I did miss one prior that ended at just under 7000 yen. I was very pissed off as it was a good deal. Oddly, I've seen sunfaded and damaged copies end on YHJ for 10,500+

It's weird on there sometimes.

I'd say that about most the expensive super famicom games.Sell that Rendering Ranger you bought too, ain't worth the money.
Anyways I got this lot for, drum roll please...................
130.00 USA dollars

They are in great shape. Especially the Eliminate Down, it's manual and case/cover are mint, The cart label has very minor wear on it.
Secondly my old car died on the highway due to the engine overheating. It was the guys fault who changed my oil on the last visit to the shop. This had been a few months back. Anyways, I won a small claims court case and got more than I paid for that piece of shit.
I found and bought this car before that case was settled for 2300.00 US dollars, it's the 4th MR2 I've owned:

It's engine has been professionally replaced with the Japanese version (a tad more horse power). The engine only has 60,000 miles on it and the suspension, steering column, tires, bushings and exhaust system have all been replaced with new/performance parts by the previous owner who had it for 10+ years. VERY happy with it and it only cost's around 27 dollars to fill with premium gas and get's 36 miles to the gallon. It's super clean and the interior is in fantastic shape also. Economically fantastic and still quite zippy with more than stellar handling. I honestly don't understand todays car market and the choices offered.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Ruger Mk. III .22. Sweet shooting gun, very accurate and fun.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Yeah, you'd be right too. Majyuuou is no masterpiece either, although it's better than some.Strider77 wrote:I'd say that about most the expensive super famicom games.Sell that Rendering Ranger you bought too, ain't worth the money.
Wild Guns is damn cool though.
Also @ MD haul: you fucker.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Got some good stuff this past week:
model 1 Genesis from ebay

girlfriend bought me a record player cuz my old one broke

A NOS 8.5 X 11 inch Raiden DX advertisement. From ebay. This thing is minty. Not sure what to do with it though.

A NOS Raiden cabinet sideart sticker. This thing is pretty perfect. The guy rolled it a bit too tight when he mailed it
and some wrinkles/bubbles formed, but I was able to get them all out. I don't want to actually use it so I put it in
a poster frame I had lying around. Also from ebay.

Might not seem like much to most but this is actually my very first NES game ever.

A little ashamed it's taken this long considering I received the NES in a box of random gaming junk years ago from a coworker. Just needed a controller and something to play.

That's a cool little system. I like it as much as I can like a portable! And you've got Metal Slug, which is awesome on that.Kingbuzzo wrote:

Thanks. I was just randomly perusing ebay. I got them both from different sellers. Grand total was about $30 shipped. I was the only bidder for both.spadgy wrote:Wow!
