Really??? Buy an xbox 360! :D - Boredom... it's a luxury isn't it? I don't think I've been bored in 10 years.
(EDIT: because I'm too busy worrying and fretting about... everything)

I should be down from 7. Can't wait to play Mr. Do... er, Futari. I fired up the practice mode on the port to try and get over my Larsa block. There's no two ways about it, she's a bitch.

Same here, I'll bring those SSM scans in case you still want them as well. And Spadgy, thanks very much for letting me borrow your Fighting Hawk PCB! I can confirm that my Supergun now works 100% :D

Cheers for the disc JDE - Issue 23 hits the motherload.

Had to duck out early - might head down tomorrow EDIT: can't make it... damn.

Tonight I was reminded of a hard learned lesson in arcade gaming - you have to step up to it. Sometimes Futari brings out the meek in me and I go running to Mr. Do! - no more!

I'll be down at some point, maybe quite a while if I don't get too frustrated. I played so badly yesterday, I want to try and make up for it today.

Cool - borrow it as long as you want, and you're welcome to borrow any PCB from my collection. You'd need an MVS mobo for any of the MVS games of course.

Oh - and I might make Casino Thursday night, depending on how knackered I feel after a monster week at work.

Hey guys. I'm new here, recently was introduced to Cave shmups by Insomnia.ac (some of the icycalm vs. shmups.com shenanigans here are hilarious). So far I've only been playing through MAME but would like to try some of them out in an actual arcade. Well, I'm traveling through London soon so hopefully I'll get a chance to to visit Casino Arcade. I was just wondering if anyone could let me know what shmups they have installed at the moment - it doesn't look like the OP was updated recently.

Welcome to the site Sam250! If you want to play Cave shmups in a real arcade then Casino is the best (and only) choice in London. Also, the list of currently installed shmups in the OP is accurate apart from Viper Phase 1 and Night Raid.

I'll be down from 7 this evening, can anybody else make it?

Hey Sam250, and welcome. We'd love to have you along, so let us know when you;re passing through town.

The OP is updated (and I've just removed the errors). As I'm a mod it doesn't always show up when I edit a post, and the OP here is mine.

Onto meeting at Casino tonight. I'm going to try, but I not escape work in time!

OK - I now may or may not make Thursday.

But the reason is good. On Friday Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Rez and Child of Eden) is talking in central London at a BAFTA Q&A the public can attend. I'm going. See you there?

Can't make it this evening Spadgy, but the Tetsuya Mizuguchi talk sounds awesome and I'll do my best to be there:
Rez is one of the games in my holy trinity of rail shooters, along with Panzer Dragoon Orta and Sin & Punishment,
so I'd love to have a chance to speak with the creator :D

Be great to see you there mate. If nothing else, it's always good to get into the BAFTA building - it's quite swanky, and I always feel like I shouldn't be allowed in!

I've been down there at 10 in the morning before (I'm fairly but not 100% sure earlier even) and definitely around 10:30pm on weekdays too.

Guess who will be traveling to London a week after your shmupmeet? I 'm trying to arrange my plans so I can hang out at Casino either in the evening on Sunday May 1st or during the day on Monday May 2nd. The 2nd is some kind of holiday over there right?

Anyway, if anyone isn't completely burned out from the shmupmeet, let me know and we can try to meet up.

Hey DaveK - what timing! I'll definitely be around the week after (although I'm away for the weekend).

Monday 2nd is a 'bank holiday' (as is the Friday before). On bank holidays pretty much everybody gets the day off. This is a special one as its the weekend of the bloody Royal Wedding (Will vs. Kate).

So - I'm spending that long weekend at a mate's 30th birthday in the middle of nowhere, but other than that I'm about, and would be glad to meet you at the arcade (perhaps some of us locals can show you some other good spots around town (how long are you about?).

EDIT: To the local crew - I can't make this Tuesday (The BBC are letting me open my mouth on BBC Radio 5's game's show - the maniacs!). Anybody else down another night?

I'm good for wednesday or thursday -

Dropped in last night and played Progear for the first time in ages. I blame the screen for not getting past the stage 2 boss... Jeez, I was like a monkey with a deckchair.

Right - I'm busy Tuesday and Thursday, so I'll be down Wednesday. CHI - will you be about then? I'll bring my DDP PCB and try and give it to the engineer or you.
