Yep, just got my copy in at the FedEx office; I don't own a Japanese Xbox or a chipped one.

PlayAsia updated their listed for the game to say it's playable in all regions a few days ago.

Could someone else confirm/deny the Score/Input Displays are adding lag to make sure this isn't just me? I can't remember DFK/Espgaluda 2 or Futari lagging when you played the game with Score + Input Displays or Extra Windows on the screen.

Nice. I think I'll keep playing Gunbird 2 until this game shows up at the local shop, assuming that VideoGamesNewYork will carry it.

How do you know what team you are on for the score attack (team) thing?

I have been re-playing ESP II and DFK BL (retail JP-only version) these couple of days, I keep score display and input display on them, they seem to run at the default speed and no extra lag.

I'm not sure if it's the SDOJ game or if it's a non-JP console causing this for you, but I also want to find this out when I get my copy of SDOJ in the mail very shortly.

The very first time you start a team score attack it will search for a team and tell you which team you are assigned to after the search. After that I'm not sure how you can check a second time.

Anyone else having the graphical errors at the beginning of stg. 2? I'm playing it 'tated in a Blast City, so maybe that has something to do with it. Looks like about 20 secs into the level that extra scanlines are added, then they disappear a few seconds later. :? Happens everytime.

Graphics smoothing on/off? I'd have to hook it up to my rotating monitor to see this, haven't tried the game in Tate yet.

Edit: just tried it, but it's on an LCD screen so that's probably not helpful. Don't have a CRT to try... At any rate, I don't notice any graphical glitches at the start of stage 2.

Will check and see if that same issue happens on a dual-res CRT-based Egret II setup but unfortunately, my copy of LE SDOJ set won't arrive until next week. Such is the thing of being paitient these days with game import orders these days...perhaps an order of the standard "plain-vanilla & absolutely no frills" version of 360 SDOJ would've been better? Nah, it's all cool.

Smoothing is off. I'm on a 29" tri-sync. I'll see if I can get some video of it later.

Ok. If that is the case, I think checking the leaderboards also indicates which team you are on. Can someone do a quick translation of this:

"Collecting scores for Round 1. Team D is currently in first place."

What teams are you guys on? I'm on Team E (in third).

Here's a (perhaps too) slow and thorough unboxing of the super limited edition, which is massive.

I'm with you on Team E, but my scores probably aren't helping us much... Also Team D's score is freaking huge!

Wait, does team score attack just assign you to one massive team with a ton of other people?

Because that's not what I expected at all :\

Is there a list anywhere of what the challenges are translated?

Not sure what you need to do in some of them.

I've never noticed any issues in that section on my 24" tated CRT. I have smoothing turned on.

Actually, tracking info has showed up for mine now, there are 4 detailed entires already. It has just left Osaka. So all is well.

Are you using any kind of sync stabilizer?

Yeah pretty much. It's a neat idea that ended up half baked. Maybe if it had more ways to communicate with your team and interesting stats other than just the score on the leaderboard it would be worthwhile, but as is its just... there.

My Japanese is far from perfect, and this is just based on what I heard while being shot at so it might not be exactly correct. Basically, Hibachi was a doll created with human emotion. Her creators decided that they couldn't allow a doll with emotion to live and decided to kill her, but she escaped with the assistance of someone who didn't like humans very much. Hibachi is none too happy about almost being murdered, cue explosions and moe.
