Hmm. While I really do want to play Futari, I may or may not have time this weekend and besides, I've barely even tried Mushihime. Don't worry, I'm keeping Saturdays in mind for shmupping, but I've got a few things lined up already. Blindness is coming out in theaters, and White Night is also on. I idly wonder if any of you are going to that? Just temporarily I seem to have more time to shmup on weekdays, here at home. Which reminds me:

jonny, what joystick is that you're using with all your consoles? I assume it connects to a PC as well? Do you recommend it?

and any one: if I bring my slim PS2 to the Pacific Mall, can I play DDP DOJ when I bring it back home? Can I find a good arcade stick there?

save yourself a trip to pacific mall...i know somebody like 15 mins from me that will mod slim ps2's...PM me for details

or you could sell your slim and buy a used fat ps2 and i can softmod it to run off an HDD....no discs and more importantly no load times

as for the joystick....that was khoa's hrap1

i would highly recommend getting an HRAP 2 if you can find one...or pretty much any hori sticks.....
a&c games on spadina usually has some.....and if you want to use it with mame on your pc you will need a psx to usb adapter.....or you can get the HRAP3 for ps3 which has a usb connection so it works with pc's out of the box but is no good with ps2's obviously

or maybe somebody in toronto has one for sale....maybe post in the trading station that you are looking for one locally and see if anybody responds.....

i sold mine a while back when i moved the consoles into the cabs.....the only time i have consoles running on the TV these days is when the boys come over and we need more stuff running

hopefully you can make it out this saturday...but from the looks of things it might be just me and khoa playing the shit out of futari.....and mushihimetama thanx to brendz

either way....i will be there....and khoa will be too...brendz is probably coming in the evening.....and some of my non-gaming buddies are coming by as well.....in which case there will be mad chronic and drinking going on as the day progresses

HRAP1 ver.B, to be exact, which is as close as you can get to the quality of the HRAP2.

My chances of coming this week is slowly decreasing since there's some unexpected drama going on in my side here.

Cool, thanks for the tips. I can't really afford an HRAP right now but at least I know what I'm looking for, or maybe asking for this holiday season.

In the mean time I'll make getting DOJ my priority. Oh, that and homework (and workwork). Yeah.

It would be great to meet you Udderdude as I'm a fan of XOP and have designs on my own homebrews. I'll ask you tons of newb questions. ^_^ I need some study time before I get serious, though, so if I'm not there tomorrow it's not much of a missed opportunity. Now that I know how these meets go down you can be assured I am part of the club.

I didn't get rid of my Dreamcast (well I did a couple years back and bought a new one), and I want to sell my HRAP1 ver.b so it can go towards paying for a HRAP2SA.
