I'm not whining at it at all. He started a second thread (out of his own insecurity) because he wasn't sure if he should continue bragging about his virginity or not. Most people said "hey, go for it" while some like myself thought it was a bad idea. Suddenly because I don't agree with the majority out there I'm "whining". But I'm not. I only approached this thread specifically because he tried to turn it around into looking like he isn't actually a fragile nerd with mixed feelings on whether this is appropriate content.

Of course Off-Topic hasn't been really fun to browse since I came back but apparently it wants to remain a cesspool. The overall point I was getting at was that there's already threads dedicated to collections where everyone can post their collections and comment on stuff. Having your own thread because I THINK MY COLLECTION IS SUPERIOR, CHECK THIS OUT, MY OWN THREAD, WHAT DO YOU THINK? is retarded.

You don't see me complaining about the universal threads because they're productive and welcoming for anyone to participate in, not just to respond in.

I never claimed that my opinion here was superior to anyone else's. There's also nothing wrong with it. He's the one that confronted me about it (or rather, deleted his entire thread prior to this) and then started flapping around with "you deserve to be sick" and other bullshit which is just low-tier insults picked while the tears are desperately trying to be hidden.

the truth is that the majority of hobbies aren't monetary gains but rather losses. what is important is the enjoyment of the action, heck, enjoying yourself could be considered an art form within itself. i know plenty of people that act like they have no idea what fun is. should i add you to the list?

I have a fairly good idea of what fun is. Fun is browsing an Internet forum without having someone bragging that his penis is thiiiiiiiiis big because he has x amount of games in a language he can't understand. it's not about fitting in, finding acceptance or becoming a king amongst nerds, it's about sharing some common interests. we don't all have the same interests, but we sort of all hover around them.

i don't see a problem posting a thread about your stuff versus posting a thread of everyone's stuff. if you have a lot to contribute, people will probably just say 'start your own thread, stop spamming us with your pictures'.. so there's no winning there either.

anyone interested in my stuff can track my thread, etc, just like any other topic i've created. this is a forum to talk about topics, a topic about your stuff is a fine subject since you naturally know about what you own.

i have some pcbs too, will i start a thread about them? doubtful. do i share what games i've run across with the forum? sure. whats the point in doing that?.. finding people who are interested.

This entire forum can be such a funny, friendly place, but recently it seems to have gone a little off the rails in that regard.

I mean, come on, half the arguing in this thread has just fallen into the kind whereby the opposed sides just pick away at very little to do with the original conflict, instead focusing on some silly little points.

It just seems like we're bitching at each other for the sake of it, getting carried away with something trivial when we could be having a good time sharing a passion.

I'll even put my squirrely tits away if we all make up (Though I can still PM images of me lifting up my tail for a nominal PayPal payment).
