You realize that military hardware is not excluded from being a moe aspect. ;)

Quite the contrary in fact.

That's why I said you're moe for RF
You know what I mean. Stuff that pops boners and not brain-boners is probably a more accurate description.

I wonder if this is intended as "smiles OF DEATH," or as a sentence with Death as the subject, like "Death smiles." The latter would actually be kind of catchy and an interesting image, which is why I'm betting that the former is the intended interpretation.

Hmm...seemingly macabre setting? Check. Evil name? Check. Zero spacing between two words leading to confusion about what the hell the actual name is? Check.

It's an Undeadline sequel.

...alright, I'm done now.

The Japanese language isn't known for its affinity for intra-sentence whitespace, so a lack thereof in an English phrase written by Japanese could mean anything, really.

And, yeah, "Deathsmiles" could be a line of designer sugar cookies found at Hot Topic for $3 apiece. I can taste the plasticky frosting already.

I picture button/pin accessories and such that are shaped like designer cookies.

It's a hori alright.

It's weird since the screenshots have the girls shooting from the right side of the screen. :?

Edit: Herr Schatten beat me.

Lol, Lun, not only it is hory, but its a reverse hory :D it's official: Ikeda doesn't want you to play his games anymore, and that's because you speak badly about Yagawa games, that Ikeda loves

W H A T T H E F U C K ?

Cave is out of bussiness 2 months after the release of this game.

They better come up with something AMAZING. The title is horrible, the logo is horrible, it's an horizontal and it scrolls the wrong way!

Well, at least they are leaving confort zone and trying something different.

I'm lost for words. I can't even picture trying to play this. It's like trying to read Hebrew.

maybe it plays like Sidearms, where you can shoot either left or right.

Or maybe it's a single-screen shooter? (haha).

I dig the Halloween theme.

You know, that Side Arms comparison might be apt. Some of the enemies are definitely facing left (instead of right, which they should be if this was a reverse-hori). Heck, this could even be in the style of Defender or Fantasy Zone.

Directly from AEX forum, Lun, 28/08/2007 14:56:

"Comunque oh, le "voci" sulla natura orizzontale del gioco (Deathsmiles) sono quanto di più infondato ci sia, state pure tranquilli"

Translation: "Anyway, the rumors about the hori nature of the game are definitely unfounded, relax guys".
