@ johnny5 - good luck, my friend. I tried to get into that when I owned the pcb and it just handed me my ass time after time and I just gave up. Beautiful bullet patterns fo sho.

same...but i started applying myself to it and being patient.....once you are familiar with the patterns its totally doable.....

i am by no means a stellar player.....and i can now no miss, no bomb up to the first boss....not much, but its a start.....2nd pattern on the 1st boss is still giving me some trouble.....

funny thing is i find the start of the 2nd stage much easier than most of the 1st stage

i doubt i will ever 1cc it(no shit) but i would like to see how far i can get.....and i am having a lot of fun progressing through it......i love dense patterns that force minute tap dodging.....its so exhilirating to get past a wall of bullets without bombing.....

R-Type 1, which is annoying the shit out of me, R-Type 2, which I'm playing decently, but I tend to die on level 1's boss a bit too much, and R-Type Leo, which is so bloody cool, but the lack of the Force in front of you, and the lack of charge shot make this not feel very R-Typey. Same goes for the general level feel, where it felt so not like R-Type.

Gate of Thunder on Wii VC (TG-16), almost getting to the end on normal. Simple in a positive way, excellent blaster.

R-Type Final on PS2 which I have to complete still on Baby Level. Ehrmm... Yes, I always work from easiest to harder upon completion of a game! I got to the final boss but it seemed I could not damage him, there were also some strange pixel deformations on my beam bar - an error maybe? I now have to work up to that stage again and give it a go.

I am still awaiting arrival of Life Force, Salamander and Salamander 2 from the Deluxe Pack for PS1...

And I want to check out R-Type III on Wii VC (SNES) as well. Soon.
Then I collected almost the complete "R"-series, boosting part I, II, III, Delta and Final.

R-Type III is awesome.

Also, I'm playing Leo [and I got bored during the first level], and then went to play Mars Matrix [which I sucked at SO BADLY, haven't played in ages].

[edit]
And now I'm playing R-Type 1. Just got to level 3, and then died. R-Type 1's bosses are really easy, but the levels are fucking bitches.

Suguri, and sucking balls at it.

And some R-Type I, the second boss is annoying as fuck [it's faster than you!], and the third level is so bloody hard!

Blast Works... shocking. >_>

Just finished my first (possibly sad) attempt at a bullet-hell style shooter today. Turns out BW isn't as well equipped to build something like this as I thought... I know much better is possible, though.

Mars Matrix, and sucking at it so badly... constantly forgetting that it has only one button, hitting patterns I should be able to dodge, etc...

I blame Suguri and its 4 buttons and its dash.

I've had just about enough of Gunbird 2. It's getting maddeningly frustrating dealing with the 1-4 boss with Valpairo, who is fat and slow.

If I had known you were going to buy it, I would have recommended you not to and you could have saved a whopping $10. For a barrel of laughs, next try Virtual On OT, Gunvalkyrie, and then Steel Battalion. :o

R-Type 1.
Damnit, I wish this ship was slightly faster!

[edit]
And now some Ikaruga. I got to level 4 on 5 credits, but died within 10 seconds of reaching it.
PS: Chaining is fun! It's so much better here than in RSG now that I'm not firing like a maniac all the time!
