Thursday it is! And I am DEFINITELY going to make it, and on time too!

Board switch around sounds great. VP1 ain't getting much play. Having DOJ, Futari and Progaer in one room makes Casino pretty awesome!

I could actually make it tonight if anybody else is passing through. I'm free basically. Although if none of your are about I'm heading home to play Dead Moon.

Your board shuffling plan gets a thumbs up from me as well CHI!
I'll definitely be there this Thursday with Mushi Futari, 7:30 as normal.
Can't make it tonight though Spadgy, but hopefully someone else will be able to.

Having Futari would be great, and would most likely make me come down a little more :D
DOJ doesn't need to be in a sitdown cab, I mean the game kills you off so quickly!

Some friends and I are planning to come down to London for a long weekend sometime during Easter break, just wondering if there's any interest in a mini or full-on meet around mid April? Haven't been to London for a long time, and now I am free again, I'm looking to enjoy myself.
And Skykid, I haven't forgotten about your offer, I'm looking to book something for the early New Year, will let you know once I get paid later this month of my plans. ^_-

A London meet would be awesome Icarus, I'd love to come along and I'm certain a lot of the other guys here would to. It'd be great to meet more people from the UK Shmups scene, so count me in if it happens. :)

I agree. We should do another meet when you head down, be it mini, midi or a fully fledged maxi-meet (defined by an appearance from DEL, and at least one other guest from distant shores).

Was it London Shooter Meet VI that you were last down Icarus?

The one where I brought MMP down and we hooked it up to a ghetto supergun on the pooltable and bin? Yeah, I was there. ^_-

Well, I know my friends and I are looking to come down around the 20th April for about five days, returning on the following Monday 25th. How about we say the main meet day is sometime between Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th? Get a date fixed, and we open up a thread, and can start planning something good. The earlier we get organised, the easier it'll be for everyone to prepare, just like old times.

Seriously - you might go to Miami? That would be cool - but how long for?

[Keira says if it's a long time you'd better come over for a drink soon!]

Sadly, I can't make tomorrow night. It'll be after Christmas now.

I should be able to drop by but only for an hour or so, after that I'll have to dash off to catch a train.

I can make it tomorrow as well CHI, should be able to stay for quite a while too, so let's hope we can catch the elusive engineer this time.
You and Spadgy are so lucky to have jobs that let you go globetrotting!

Gutted! I'm on my way home to the parent's place tonight! Looks like I'm going to miss a lovely little Xmas Casino credit burning session.

Awesome. Have fun mate! I expect you to return looking like you've been at Muscle Beach.

Also, I'd just added an edit to my post above while you were posting. Can you let me know the deal with my VP1 board?

Hope it is still there when I come down, as I'm back on 1.5 Original at the moment, trying to beat my 310mil ALL.
I'd like to do a demo that doesn't involve me dying randomly in the first three stages of a shooting game, like at IC '09, or the past few meets I've been to. :P

Great to hear!
I dunno if I can make it in April yet, of course I want to be there.

I've also tried 1.5 a little lately, best score only 69m, think you can beat that Icarus :P

Hoorah! I'm a big fan of Mushi 2, especially original mode. Best I managed on the Xbox was 200 million, which I was quite chuffed with, but I never got the clear depressingly enough. I'm going to try and use the week before I go back to lecturing after Xmas to remedy this!

Another meet would be awesome cool.
