good luck finding one for that price
I misunderstood the question or you?

And dont need luck, if you buy in hype time, yes, you need buck more than luck, but with patient, you can find a new one for 14-15k yen.
Look now the LE edition, the price is under original price.
DS have not a real "limited" pack, there is a lot of.
Anyway, at some time can be difficult to find some items.

Not out yet. It links to the marketplace which only has the two trailers and icon pack.

(It's also listed under the Genre of "DEATH SMAILES")

Play Asia shipped my copy on the 22nd and I still have yet to see it. I live in Colorado...any others still waiting, or is this normal shipping time from them?

I'm still waiting. I won't be surprised to have it arrive a week from now.
Usually shipping is about two weeks average.

If you had used EMS, that would be pretty long. But since you ordered airmail (and I'm psychic about that), 2 weeks or under is nothing to be concerned about.

Next to Raiden IV this is my favorite 360 shmup now. The game reminds me so much of Cotton but has a fantastic castlevania esque dark tone to it.

I agree, that's one of the things I find so cool about the game. And since you mention Cotton....ever since Raiden Fighter Aces was first announced I've been hoping for a Cotton Collection for 360. Come on Success! Make it so! Too bad that's the kind of thing that about as likely to happen as a Cave Classics or the canceled Treasure Box ever seeing the light of day...but I'd love to see it happen!

I figure the adapter discussion might include some good information, so instead of letting it stay buried within a ~60 page thread, I moved all of it into a thread of its own.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I'm still waiting for mine to turn up here in the UK and they also dispatched mine on the 22nd.

I'm sure my Dodonpachi didn't take this long but will wait a few more days.

Media Create sales numbers are out for Deathsmiles:

06./00. [360] Death Smiles (Cave) - 20,000 / NEW

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=360145

Asada said on the Deathsmiles blog that CAVE received 20,000 orders for the game. If Asada was talking about numbers shipped, then this means that the first shipment completely sold out. Still, I saw some copies at my local Sofmap so this means that there was probably already a second shipment since Media Create sales numbers are pretty reliable.

Other observations:

The game charted at #6 in game software sales. That is extremely good for a 360 game, and for a shooter. Quite curious to see how it charts next week.

I picked up a copy of the new Famitsu 360 mag and they indicate that Otomedius' first week sales were 14,586. DDPDOJBLEX had 10,526.

Once word spreads about the quality of the port I'm sure that it will be the best-selling shooter on the system and perhaps even push its way into the 40k range, which is enough to qualify along with games like Fallout 3 etc. in the top 10 360 games sales-wise per year. If that happens, MS will certainly start to pay more attention to shooters than it already is.

Oh god, killing shit with your option (ie. pigs in the halloween town) and then using the lock-shot is what the top players are doing. I still can't get that down, I just straight up use A + B to take them out. That's probably my most disliked thing about the game so far. Everything else is great.

It's easier or harder depending on which character you use. If you have a character with the slower grindy option shot attacks, you can pretty easily stick your option shots on them and lockshot while they grind. Rosa is really easy to do this with, Follette is mostly impossible.

Eh, not sure. I use Windia. Currently practicing the "recharge" thing on the Volcanic level which is really annoying as it needs to be perfect for a proper refill, although I'm satisfied if I come close.

I've never played Cotton much, but I get this whole 3 Wonders/Chariot vibe from Death Smiles and I like it a lot!

I don't really get how it relates to Chariot apart from being able to touch walls.

(Three Wonders is one of my favorite games, btw.)

Yeah uh, do not bother with online co-op in this game unless you live in Japan. I'm in NZ, which is closer to Japan than what the US or UK are, and it's fucking terrible. The netcode syncs up together, not client side like Otomedius, therefore making the game slow and outright unplayable.

Got mine today, and its beautiful, its like progear and cotton all in one, lets hope for a port of the former too!!

is there any benefit of upping the level? it goes quite a bit harder if knocked to 2 or 3, just wondered if it gives bigger scores or something?

Got mine today :D

Gave it a few quick playthroughs and I am loving it. My daughter has taken a nap and now I will go and play some more!

No load times FTW

Will co-op online be ok for folks in the USA playing other USA residents? I'll give it a go tomorrow with a fellow member here (if he is up to it)

well enough ramble, I got to go play!

standard mail form HK to us sucks. It can actually take 4 weeks if they(usps) want to be asses about it. When I was waiting on DOJ BLEX, After two weeks I got worried. Play-Asia informed me that I needed to wait at least 4-6 weeks before I complained. DOJ BLEX took 3 weeks to get to me.

Prior orders I did and any since then have been fed ex or ups and those go much faster and have tracking so you can tell where the box is at any moment. EMS sucks for me because I am always required to go to a distant office 3 days after the original delivery date to pick up. Of course I'm not going to be home during the day to sign for it on the first drop, at least UPS and Fedex will let the leasing office manager sign for stuff...

I'm getting ready to go play now and see how far I can get with rank 3 all way through :) Doubt I get to 4-1. Getting to 4-1 with 1's and 2's aint so bad, but not much happening score wise that way.

Did anyone else install it to the HDD? I swear the disc drive is still spinning up when it does its initial load, even when I select "play from hard drive" on the 360 main menu.
